I went to the park yesterday and took some pics of interesting plant life. I then picked one and cleaned it up in Photoshop so it had a transparent background. After playing around with blender this weekend I have realized that I just won't have the time to help out in a big way with ages but I'd be more than happy to place some graphics that can be used by anyone here for texturing. I am assumming this is the right place to put this information.
I will have things in both Photoshop and PNG file types. I am not sure which one ppl will want. The advantage of the photoshop file is all the layers will still exist for future editing.
Secondly before I get too carried away is there another place that ppl are placing this kinda stuff?
Thirdly what size and how detailed/sharp should things be?
THis file still needs a little clean up but I have run out of time this weekend playing with blender... evil time munching computer! It's also small, I shrunk it down for the forum.

I am also working on a grass texture that should look pretty good (2048x2048). I've mapped it over a large surface and have it repeating about 15 times without a serious repeating pattern to it. I'll upload it once I have it to my liking. I am just waiting for blender to get done rendering it so I can check it out in game.

I have finished the grass texture. If someone gets a chance to look at it let me know what you think. I have placed it over a 100x100 area repeated about 10 times. It actually seems to have the illusion of a wave or depth in the grass... but that just might be me from starring at it all evening between corrections!
The best one in my opnion is:grassdetailed_rich
Now I just have to make some dirt to put under that grass!

I've managed to isolate a few coleus leaf bundles. If anyone can find a use for them feel free to use them. The photoshop version with them in different layers is on AH's FTP site.

I found this an interesting picture. It was a patch of asphalt. It's not seemlessly repeatable, yet, and will have a pattern to it but it still might work well for something since it really does not look like asphalt. There is a rather large and a medium version on the AH resource site.
If you happen to see a texture that you would like a little work done on drop me a PM and let me know. I probably won't get much done with this particular texture but if someone needed it cleaned up in some way I could probably get to it in a day or so.
