Question for Hoikas

Post by Mowog »

Hoikas -

Hi! A couple of days ago, I was in a workshop with fellow technicians for the school district I work for - we attended a web conference pertaining to the SchoolDude application, which we've recently adopted to handle technical work orders in our district.

The presenter's name was Adam Johnson... was that you?

JahJah?

As in JahJah Binks? Goodness, meesa hope not!

Sorry, couldn't resist. But yeah, the voice on the speakerphone did sound rather Southified. Seemed to me at the time that it would be a rather small world indeed, hearing another member of the Uru community here in the office!

I considered asking him via the speakerphone, but thought it might sound sort of funny to my fellow technicians, hearing me say something like, "Hey, is this Hoikas? Mowog here!"

Heh - with all the talk here, Hoikas himself hasn't replied yet :P
One day I ran through the cleft for the fiftieth time, and found that uru held no peace for me anymore.

It's the OOC department, unless he uses the 'new posts' links he might just don't know about this thread. :p

Sorry, no, I don't work on "School Dude," so no, it wasn't me ;) There are lots of Adam Johnsons out there, I've found. There is actually another Adam Johnson near me with the same middle name

Interestingly enough though, I do work for a company that provides school management applications (this one is based in South Africa). I administer our main server and will be taking another under my wing sooner or later.

BTW I pronounce Georgia "GEORGE UH"

And yes, I am a Senior (12th grade) in small town Georgia, but my Southern accent isn't very prevalent. You will be seeing my name pop up on the birthday list in a few days :)

And I check General, Off Topic, Programming, and PyPRP regularly. The other forums not so much so.

Anyway, I'm slap Wheeler County Dawg tired. Time to end this post.
