Are you using a subworld?

As Chacal said, it sounds like you're not using a subworld. A good tutorial for subworlds exists on the wiki, here. Good luck!

Aww, that's a shame- if you'd posted back here with your problems, we would've been glad to help!

The problem is / was that I did not really understand the tutorial , I even took a look at the DoorAnimation.blend file that is downloadable somewhere at this forum.
But even then I wasn't able to get it working in uru or blender ....
The thing i could make out from the tutorial is that i need to

- Make a entrance region
- Make a exit region
- Tell the object that should have the physic properties that its in a subworld
- A empty that represents the coordinate system

So when i do this , my clickregion moves on its own .
The object that should move in the subworld and is marked with the subworld properties moves somewhere else on its own....

And in the tutorial they talk about that your in a subworld , but don't tell you how to create that subworld . To me its seems its written someone that knows how to do these things ....
And thats hard to learn if you don't know how it works and are not very good with scripting .... For me its just a lot of words and script .... it does't tell you how to create it ....
And this is with all the tutorials .... just do this , do that and it works .... ( not ) .....

There are a lot of things I want to script but just can't figure out how to , for example
- animated coler of the lights ( if have it animated , i have it scripted with a animation msg . But is doesn't work )
- animated start and stop with a loop ( press ounce , start and loop . press twice stop the looping )

But thanks for your help ;)

I wrote the subworld tutorial after adding subworlds to PyPRP. Yes, I have to admit I'm not a 3rd party here writing the tutorial.

I think part of the problem is that alcscripting isn't all that easy for people who aren't soaked in programming and the subworld concept is rather strange in itself.

I have a post where I explain subworlds a little differently:

Currently getting some ink on my hands over at the Guild Of Ink-Makers (PyPRP2).
