General debates and discussion about the Guild of Writers and Age creation

I think I am lost. We can use the images to do text sure. Just type it up. But on the case of imagers. Do you mean images taken with the ki??? or screenshots/concept art/etc that would have to be brought somehow into the game. The screenshots/concept art/etc would need Cyans help.

Well, I'm guessing that if we can get the images uploaded to at least someone's KI, that person can send them to the rest of our KIs as well. Maybe not the imager, but if we tell Cyan what we're up to, they might lend us a hand in getting the images uploaded.

You can count The Writers' Guild in! :-) We'll be more than happy to attend, as well as keep our neighborhood available as an open house.

[quote="J'anim Paedet"] Well, I'm guessing that if we can get the images uploaded to at least someone's KI, that person can send them to the rest of our KIs as well. Maybe not the imager, but if we tell Cyan what we're up to, they might lend us a hand in getting the images uploaded.

in my experience, there are two ways to go about doing this.
1. hacking.
obviously not an option.

2. vaultmanager.
possibly an option, if we can get someone at Cyan to lend a hand.

other than that, we're screwed. I think that it was a good idea, but it just won't work on D'mala.

(of course, the most appropriate thing to do would be to build a miniature replica of the White House breifing room in Blender, then export it, put it on a volcano shard, and get everyone in there to host this.

but of course, not everyone can get onto those shards.

too bad... :( )

or, we could use ASCII art in kimail to get our point across. :P

here's an idea:

If you really wanted to display images to people without going to great lengths, perhaps at varying times in the leture someone could give out a URL to an image on the web. Give everyone 1 or 2 minutes to view the image itself, and then continue with the lecture.

Food for thought :)

I don't think everyone can alt-tab out of Uru easily... but remembering the URL is hard too :P

you can run uru in windowed mode, just click on the graphical settings tab and check 'windowed' (though i would set the resolution to be one lower than your screen, for example i have a 1024x768 monitor, so i would run it windowed at 800x600. otherwise it takes up the whole screen. ;) )

the only thing is that gamma effects aren't applied in windowed mode, so it might be a bit darker. <_<

Im back! Woah I'm glad you all like the idea. :D My origonal idea was for putting the concept art/in progress images on the images themselves however I didn't know how feasable this was. Clearly it wasn't. I think would be best on D'mala as this is the offical shard and the most popular.
