Hey, everybody. The name's Dr. Worm.
I've been a fan of Myst for about two years now. I remember the first time I ever saw anything Myst-related. I was probably 7 or 8 at the time. It was the box for Riven: The Sequel to Myst. The name "Riven" has been in my memory ever since. The picture of Tay on the box would catch my attention every time I would see it in Best Buy. It looked so mysterious, so otherworldly, and I always wanted to play that game, although it looked a little scary. Heh.
Then, about two years ago, I saw the Myst 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition box set in Best Buy. I had 20 bucks to blow, so I decided to find out what these Myst games were all about. I fell in love with the series.
I beat all five Myst games, but it wasn't until I read the novels that I truly fell in love with the story. And then I was able to get a copy of Uru: CC off of Amazon, and that took it all even further.
I have never been a part of Uru Live (though I got a free account on GameTap and checked into the restricted-access version of MOUL about a month before it went down, didn't get to do much), and I'm really looking forward to joining OSMO (screw it, I don't care if you think it's called MOOS or MOOSE, OSMO is awesome on multiple levels). I'm still not sure how much I want to attempt to be involved with the creative process here. I'm trying to decide whether I want to join a Guild, and the two that I'm looking into are the Writers and Maintainers.
I'm no good with modeling or programming, but one thing I can do pretty well is story. I love to write stories, and the Uru universe has so much to work with. So if it's storyline, journals, or anything else along those lines, I'll do what I can to help.
