Proportional Edit doesn't work

Post by Justintime9 »

I was just working on an age, and was planning to add some hilly terrain (via proportional edit mode). However, when I enabled proportional edit mode and set it to smooth falloff, it didn't work! I selected a face, grabbed it, and constrained it to the z axis, but when I scrolled my mouse, it didn't raise any additional faces, and the big Circle indicating it's range was nowhere to be seen. Does anyone know what might be causing this? It's really important for my age that this work, so I hope it can be fixed.

Hmm... have you tried moving the mouse up and down instead of scrolling it? That works for me. If that doesn't work, you could go into sculpt mode and constrain it to the z axis, which would allow for more interesting hills.

I got it working, although I still don't know what was wrong, certain features of blender just ceased working whenever they wanted, (proportional edit was one), so I got fed up with it and reinstalled blender (now blender 2.48a), and that did it :D
