Yes, that's the hope! The conceptually difficult work is all done, and it has an excellent framework now. There's still a lot of work to be done though, and I can't make a guess as to when a first version will be ready; it could be quite a long time, depending on the usual factors. (I.e. when I get motivated :D)

It would be like Myst5, non-functional, but explorable. Also, must less graphically complete. Don't expect it to look perfect like Myst5 does ;)

Even so, the thought of exploring Myst Island again would be a real treat. It would be like coming full circle. How wonderful if a first version of Real Myst coincided with Cyan finally getting the open source out to you and your fellow magicians.
I would like to thank you and the others for keeping it all alive. Drizzle and the offline KI are both marvelous. Helping me to keep URU worth visiting again and again.

I have Complete Chronicles installed on my computer...I would like to try the Drizzle stuff without buggering up the original version...How can I install another CC on the same puter without uninstalling the original?...Or is that even possible? Be nice, I'm very shy about puters and I don't have any programming skills at all...I am running Windows XP SP3, Nvidia FX5500 video card...if you need more info, I'm sure I can supply that....THNX, Charura..
BTW, I've looked for hours to get this answer here and on other forums but my eyes are getting foggy....lot's of info out there...

im not sure on this one but I think what you hafta do is fool your PC into thinking its a different program like instead of installing it into C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\Cyan Worlds\Uru - Complete Chronicles

You might wanna try installing it into C:\Program Files\Uru - CC plus Drizzle

What I did myself was I installed a fresh copy of URU:CC (Just URU:CC and a no-CD patch and nothing else) once it was installed I copied the URU:CC folder to another directory (so now I have the original install directory as well as a copy of this folder) and this new directory functions just like a second install. Any Time I need a fresh install to test something out on, or to try fooling around with some files, I just make another copy of this fresh install and poof, another copy of URU I can play. This was just my method, but it works for me, and is much faster than going through the whole install process every time I need a new install of URU.

(Charura: you can simply copy & paste the entire Uru folder, and have two installations that way. (The Uru folder is usually at "C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/CyanWorlds/Uru - Ages Beyond Myst" or something like that.) Just double-click the UruSetup.exe file in whichever one you want to run, or make a shortcut to it and put the shortcuts on your desktop. I also do this. I hope it helps! )
