There is a parameter missing. The one for the default font. If you don'y have text it should look like this:

Code: Select all
AgeBooks = {'AquhBook': ('<cover src="leather"><margin right=32 left=32>', '', 0, 0, 'BkBook', 0.8, 1.0)}

K got the book to open up, but there is no linking image where it should be.

Edit: Nevermind I may know what the problem is there.

Getting really tired of this. Now I tried adding the journal and seemed to have fragged it again.

Code: Select all
(03/12 20:50:14) __init__ChamassaBookGUI v.3.0
(03/12 20:50:30) xKI.OnServerInitComplete(): age =  Chamassa

(03/12 20:50:52) Match found! Start opening book...
(03/12 20:50:52) ChamassaBookGUI: IOpenBook: Page(s) requested ['AquhPage']

Edit: Fixed I didn't change one thing in the PageDefs file.

With the book problem solved I am close to Vers 2.5 release. I have the journal in, and a linking book to Aquh added. I want to add a Nexus book also and look at the textures for the Library island. Once both of those are done I will release.

The journal is only done as far as the online journal. As I work on the online journal I will continue to add to the journal in Chamassa, eventually splitting it off into multiple journals. There will eventually be a seperate journal in Chamassa about Chamassa. One in Aquh about Aquh and so on.

While not having a computer these last few days. Still waiting on that power supply I ordered, should be here either Saturday or Monday. Anyways it has given me time to think about what I would like to include in the age. I decided to flatten the area behind the Library a little bit, and add a Stonehenge type area there. In town I am going to add a Blacksmith shop in one of the buildings, surrounding the tower, some of the buildings surrounding the tower are not large enough to be homes as you all have noticed.

Also another building will end up housing the linking books to my age Yaeviev once released. I had planned on building a hood, or nexus area for this but decided this would be better I think. I would like to add a puzzle lock to the door of the building that they will be housed in. Not sure how I will spread the clues, do it like the Slave Pen in Teledahn with the solution elsewhere. Or do it like Myst fireplace puzzle in CC where you have to search through several ages to find it. Doing it like the Slave Pen will put the clue in one place and have a simple push button. Doing it like Myst fireplace will have a more complex puzzle. I will have to think on it. Yaeviev is still a ways from being released, especially when JoJon was working on texturing for me (something I may end up having to finish myself).

I have also decided to not do the Gehn angle for the back story, instead am looking at having the statue being of a dictator that ruled the age.

Well for two days now I have had the use of my computer again. After pulling and reseating the memory, I have not had a hiccup of any kind, no shutting off what so ever. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that was all that was needed.

Anyways I am close to releasing Vers. 2.5 of Chamassa. This vers. will have only 2 linking books, journal added and Island 2 textures worked on. I would release it now, except the Nexus book is not showing the linking panel. Not sure why that is, The book itself works, as you can click on it and will get linked to the Nexus. The window just isn't showing up when you open the book. Once that is straightened out I will release. Then with Jishin pointing out some things on Aquh (she did a inspection report over at GoMe for Aquh and Chamassa) I will work on it next. Then I may put both aside for the time being and work on Taygahn and get it to a point it can be released.

Well, the nexus only shows the linking image due to the offlineKI. so, if the image isn't in the img/ directory in your uru folder, nothing will show.

If it /is/ in the img/ directory, then you'll need to check the other offlineKI files. I guess a good question to ask is: Did you add the linking image into the, um, section for that, manually? if so, have you recently updated the offlineki in your install? If the answer to both is "Yes", then, you'll need to add the info back in.

Each release of the Offline KI will overwrite custom changes to the files that add linking images to the nexus, and those used in custom Books in your Relto.

After all, without the OfflineKI, you can't even have those custom linking images, and there wouldn't be fanages in the nexus, either.

EDIT: note, the new releases won't necessarily overwrite custom added linking images, as in, the actual files, unless it too includes that file. =P

EDIT2: oh, do you mean a book /to/ the Nexus?

If that's the case, the filename might be different to what you think it is. =) an extracted nexus linking image, packed back into the age files, might not quite be the same name as you think it is. =P

EDIT3: By "not the same name as you think it is" I mean it might've been shortened, when you used it in blender. Open up your textures prp in prpshop, and check the name of the texture, and use that in the python. =)

EDIT4: corrected some missing bits of the previous edits --- man, I must be really tired, because this post is /all/ over the place. Hopefully /someone/ can understand it.

I think he *is* speaking about a link *to* Nexus, so the Offline KI is out of the deal. And unfortunately, I'm not of much help for that linking book GUI stuff.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Diafero is correct. I am talking about a linking book in Chamassa going to the Nexus.

Vers. 2.5 is now available. You can get it here.

Only additions are two linking books (one in the library, the other across from where you link in) and a journal.

I am debating formatting the journal differently. If you look at phantasmproject.com/blog you will see I have everything broken up into times. In the in game journal its only broken up into days which makes most entries a couple pages long. What do you all think should it be broken up by time for the in game journal or left as is?

I messed around a little with the ground texture for Library Island. It still needs some work.

Anyways that is the only things worked on this go around. I will see about addressing Jishin's notes (inspection report at GoMa) for Vers. 3 for the next release.

Not sure when this will be on Drizzle as Dustin is on vacation. I know someone said Wolle add another age to Drizzle, but not sure if he will continue to do that or leave it till Dustin gets back.
