Concept/Puzzle Designer For Hire

Post by Equinox »

If anyone needs help creating puzzles or figuring out concepts to include in their projects, just let me know. You can read through some of my thoughts in the thread "A few ideas." I posted this in general discussion because I'm not a builder, storyteller, artist or musician... :?

If you need any input but don't want to say it in public (why would you want to release your ideas before you finish the age?) then the best way to reach me is via email at silver40596@yahoo.com. Just let me know when and if you want help with something or need some ideas.

Which reminds me: There should be separate sub-forum called "Puzzles" - for ideas of puzzles to use in Ages, and to request for a ideas of such puzzles by other age builders.

Good idea, since the sort of thing I can help with doesn't fit anywhere. Also, see my post "A few ideas" because I'm worried that the great ideas that the forum members came up with there will go to waste because there's no dedicated concept/puzzle section.

Yes, Storytellers is a pretty good place for story-lines for ages, and history of ages as well.

Puzzles can indeed fit into there, but personally speaking, I think if there was a completely separate forum section for puzzles, perhaps there could be many different discussions about puzzles there that could be applied globally to all ages. Discussions like "What makes puzzles addictive" or "What are some key elements in making puzzles work?", and other stuff like that.

I have to agree completely with Equinox and say that a puzzle section would be a very good idea. :)

That's the thing: I'm not telling stories, I'm describing things that fit in with stories that other people tell. I'm also not an artist, and I'm certainly not a builder. I have theories on what works well in puzzles, too, and that doesn't fit in with storytelling or building or art. So please...make a puzzles section, since I'm sure a lot of people want help on puzzle design but aren't sure where to look.

It goes in storytellers, or artists. =P while it is technically neither, it does fit in the "general" usage of both. =P though, probably better in "storytellers".

@Tsar Hoikas , @kaelisebonrai : I think You missing the point.

To "storytellers" should go stories.
To "Artist" should go concept art.

If You just have a description of a idea of a puzzle- then "probably" storytellers might fit.
If got a concept art for such idea then "Artist" could be better.

But to be honest: neither does fit (not just "technically").

...advices on how to make a good puzzle, request for a idea of a puzzle fitting to the theme of an Age, advertisement from people willing to invent puzzles etc.
