Any reason why the male wave emote .max file is twice the size of the female one, by the way, any one of you who has the software to open them? :7

Oh, and does any of them contain sets of phoneme presets and stuff like that? Maybe Plasma's even some sort of lip-sync sequence playback system built-in? Hardly likely, I suppose... :7

I have max 7. Not sure what you mean by phoneme presets. I got the feeling that each emote had it's own individual rigging system. So for every emote there was an individual max file for both male and female. When you play the animation in max it just a block looking guy waving to you. Kind of neat.

I suppose I could take a break from converting my ages from CC to MOUL with max, and tomorrow play around with the rigging to see if i can create a new emote that can be exported and converted by Drizzle. Anyone have any idea of what they want me to try and make?

Plenty. :) But I guess we could start off with something simple and short just to see if it works. What about an avatar holding his head in his hands in despair? :)

Very fitting, Aloys!

You gotta do a 'moon' emote. Just because.
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

There seem to be a concensus on /facepalm, although I suppose the one Aloys suggested, is more actual despair, than AlanRickmanTypecastGuyResignment. :D

I'm assuming the block dude you are seeing, is the standard Blue/Red Max biped..(?) :)

What I meant by "phoneme presets", would simply be a library of predefined mouth shapes, for the various sounds the human voice can make; roughly the letters of the alphabet, ready to be placed on the timeline, possibly also available in varieties modified by different tones of voice.
One could also wonder whether there are presets for the other parts of facial expressions as well; angry/sad/confused/etc eyebrows and so on.

K. Spent some time on this today.

Was able to make a facepalm emote that did not crash the game. Unfortunately it also turned the limbs that I was animating invisible till after the emote played. Not really invisible but they shrunk to nothing and then came back out to proper size at the end of the emote. So yeah, my head and arms shrunk into me like a turtle then popped back out. I thought it might be a scaling problem, as max file had rotation, position, and scale filters on for the animation. So i deleted the scale animations and still got the same results.

Unfortunately I can not look at the actual converted file cause all converted GlobalAnimation files seem to crash page editor, and prpshop after they're converted. So it's probably something with the conversion process that's causing that. OR Prpshop has trouble reading the file for some reason, seeing as how the converted animations work fine for females (The dance emote for example) yet even that causes a crash with PrpShop.

Would you have a screenshot of that bug? :p

That also happens to several of Cyan's male emotes from MOUL after they are converted to CC. So it probably went well. However, if this is the female avatar you are talking about I'm not so sure... :?

About a month ago, I had libHSPlasma check all the files in my Uru installation (TPOTS+all converted ages+inplacemods+Offline KI+Myst V additions), and it completed without a single warning. No crash or whatsoever, not even with the converted animation files. So either some recent patch in libHSPlasma broke it, or this is actually a bug in your file, not in libHSPlasma.

Yep, on my computer PrpShop can read converted MOUL emotes fine, for example FemaleDanceMOUL.

What build of PrpShop are you guys using. Cause i'm using 88 and it's still not working (just reconverted all the files with simplicity) None of the converted ones want to open, they all crash PrpShop, while the unntouched ones work just fine.

EDIT: Wow I was way behind with updating that. Updated Tools to the current 105 build. It opens fine now. No more crashing. Also i think I now know the reason for the disappearing avatar limbs. Will give a few things a try and report back later today :D
