Revenge of the Nonsense
Re: Revenge of the Nonsense
I think there may have been a teensy bit of sarcasm there, so I doubt that would be needed, Jamey -- just keep up writing ages (<- EDIT: clarification :9) and being generally happy. :)

Thanks for the explanation Jojon!

If sarcasm was involved, that would indeed be a problem considering I don't speak sarcasm. (It doesn't make sense to me, especially when it is directed at me

Gee, I wonder why that is...
RAWA doesn't know the details of the Veralun issue. As a discourse on the fact the RAWA doesn't know these details, his response was exactly what it needed to be.

Has there been a noticeable change in Veralun's behaviour since Cyan's statement that they were discussing it?

Re: Revenge of the Nonsense
I haven't seen veralun do any moderating since then. This is what I worry about: that veralun (or any future problem moderator who exploits this) will just lay low for a while and then return to the same practices later. A resignation or removal would send a clear signal that Cyan was serious about this and that personal abuse of the moderator position would not be tolerated.
Re: Revenge of the Nonsense
He will not resign, unless he is asked to by Cyan. And it is very unlikely that Cyan would ask him to resign, or directly fire him; unless something very serious happens.

Well... er... I would say that it's best to deal with that if and when it happens, really. Frankly, the situation seems to have had a far better outcome than I had dared hope. There's no sense in removing Veralun unless he demonstrates that he cannot moderate according to the rules.
Actually fixing said rules should be our focus now.

Yes, keeping Verylooney at the cost of two interns who actually did their job was well worth it.

Hmm... that could be fixed if Cyan restored admin rights to the interns, yes?

Neither of the interns is interested. http://twitter.com/ddfreyne/status/13320684617

And Cyan has said the demotion "should" have happened a long time ago. No explanation was given as to why the interns needed to be stripped of their privileges in order for RAWA to talk to the mods.
