Shell Numbeing Bug

Postby diafero » Tue Aug 03, 2010 12:24 pm

While looking for Shell 309, I ended up in a place that was labelled 309, but the Shell there was empty - and according to the wiki, something ought to be found there. So I double-checked and noticed that this is the shell between 303 and 304. According to the print, that is shell 305, and I found the "real" Shell 309 somewhere else. So either I am completely confused, or the numbering is wrong here...

I had no problem in finding shell 309 the Linking book was located in the map age at pad 308 (see above) and that is where I arrived. Shell 309 was just off to the left the same as in the map age...

That's true, but please try to find Shell 305.

I see what you mean. When you link from the Pad at 304 in the Map Age you should arrive with shell 305 0n the left and 303 on the right. Instead you have 303 on the left and 309 on the right (305 is behind you). All have signs hanging at the entrance stating that these shells are reserved...

Weird.

Could someone post a screenshot of the incorrectly numbered shell?

I'll see if I can make a correction this upcoming weekend.

I also owe a multiplayer fix for stalled clients when loading the entire map...
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

OK starting at Gate-age Pad 304 and linking to Pahts
Image (click for larger image)

you arrive at a location that should have shells 303, 304 and 305 instead you find shells 303 309 and 305. All of them reserved for development.
All 3 shells are incorrectly labeled ~ with 304 missing...

Perceeding to Gate-age Pad 308 and linking to Pahts

you arrive at a location that has shells 308, 309 and 310 where you find the shells in the correct position with shell 309 developed.
The only problem is that the linkin point, pedistal and Link book are above ground level.

Thanks for the photos, Wamduskasapa!

I fixed the numbers and made a new release - see this post. However, I didn't get to fixing the floating pedestal; those changes are harder to make.

Thank you Robert - That is PERFECT

As a reminder to all:
delete your Pahts_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.sav file
Then use Drizzle to delete Ahra Pahts
Now copy all files from the zip
Then use Drizzle to Decompress the sound

or just wait until the UAM is updated
