Release of my Age SOMEWHERE.

Whit Manaukas PC and with my PC as well Somewhere works nearly without problems.
So we have a lot of fun and climb hours through this age.

My PC:
-Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz
- 8 GB RAM
- Win 7 Ultimate 64bit
- NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB
- 5.8 Windows Experience Index

My PC is is not the latest but it is fairly substantial and I had continuous lag using SOMEWHERE.

I have never had trouble with any other age, fan or otherwise (excepting Gareesen with occasional lag).

Not trying to criticize anyone here--just trying to give you some objective data to work with.

denost2, next time you starting creating an age, please remember to register a sequence prefix and filename beforehand. I just checked if all the ages available on DI are properly registered, a some were not (see this change in the wiki). Most ages lucky enough still had a free sequence prefix, however the prefix you chose for Somewhere, 163, was already taken by tolip ydob for his age Yhikes. Lucky enough, it seems that age was never released, so it's still all right. That shouldn't happen though.
(Now it's loo late however, please do not try changing your released age's prefix, that will just make things worse)

I plan to provide a new version of SOMEWHERE to attempt to decrease the lag for some explorers.
I will call it SOMEWHERE 2.

So, if it is possible, I propose you cancel the current version.
And the situation will be clean.

I see no reason to remove this version. The other age is not likely to ever be released, and if it is, we can still use Drizzle to fix either age's sequence prefix. However, one day we might have less luck and two public ages might collide with each other, so it is important to be aware of such issues.

You want to change the filename and the sequence prefix? That's certainly possible. You don't necessarily have to also change the user-visible name, it could still be "Somewhere".

"Somewhere2" is a new version of the initial "Somewhere".
I tried to improve the performance to bring an answer to the explorers who had problems of lag.

The work was long. Mainly based on the use of VisReg.
Great thanks to Tachzusamn. The tool he developed was very useful and easy.

I tried to have objective criteria to conclude for example: "OK this action increase the fluidity";
and not only have confidence in my visual impression.

So I have obtained numerous data for many regions of the game.
The improvement is better for some regions than for others.
