Soooo ... what does that mean? Could anything have infected the file? Or does it just look suspicious to Norton because that is too cautious? Could then the parts that look suspicious to AV-Software be identified and modified? Otherwise, maybe a remark should be added to the download instructions that it could happen that AV-Software falsely detects the file as virus infected.
That's just a false positive. Very irritating, but apparently Norton treats everything as suspicious. Not sure what's triggering it specifically, but from a quick search it appears to be a common issue with them. It's clean according to a lot of other scanners. If you have an easy way to mark it as a false positive, please do so. It might help prevent the issue in the future for yourself as well as others.
