Trylon.... problem solved... see the other thread

As you can only have either a picture OR text on a line, the 'trick' is to make the picture 512 pixels wide (a full line). You can have any (base2) HEIGHT ... so, the resizing by the plugin is only a problem when the picture is LESS than 512 pixels wide (and it gets resized to 256 ... thats when Uru complains). So, as long a s you make the picture 512 wide x (base2) high, the plugin WONT cause a problem. No need to change it IMHO ... save yourself the time :)

Too late :P

Version 1.2.1 of the plugin will now forget about resizing if you have bothe compression and mipmapping disabled.

Any likely hood that this tutorial will be on the wiki?

I am happy for it to go in the Wiki... but it really needs to be a part of a tutorial for the Dynamic Book Template (or at least accompanied by it).

I did say that I would do a tutorial about the python template once I had figured it out (which I finally did this weekend) ... but I have a massive schedule this week so it will be a couple of weeks before I can get round to doing it. (I understand D'Lanor's reasons for not wanting to write it himself)

As soon as the Dynamic Book Template Tutorial is done, I'll copy/past this over to the Wiki (if that's OK with everyone) ...

This does raise the question however about this section of the bullitin board... do we really need a "Tutorials" section here now that we have the Wiki? It's kinda confusing, especially for newbies...

I'd say that the tutorials section could be for discussing tutorials prior to creating them on the wiki, and after they are up. There should probably be a sticky in the tutorials section that links to the wiki as well.

Then wouldn't it make sense to rename it from "Tutorials" to "Tutorial Discussion" ... ?

...Agreed

Hi, I tried to get a sketch in my journal using this somewhat "old" thread.
I followed all the instructions, but was unable to get a picture in my journal.
Is this no longer supported? (using pyprp 1.6 and blender 2.49b)

Check the size of your picture ... and the sketch's filename in the python file. They are the most common mistakes that stop the picture appearing. Did you make sure the sketch is assigned to a "hidden" object somewhere?

Yes it is applied to a hidden plane, just like the water ripple decals and the footprint.
The size is 512*256 (w*h), alpha and no mipmap or interpol, yet nothing appears in my journal.
I will try a different file name just to be sure.
This is what is within the one line journal text:
\n<img scr="jnl1" align=center resize=no blend=alpha>\nOh no....
