Ok listen up!!!!! I don't think this is a good idea..... at all.......
1. URU wasn't made for the Xbox.
2. The Myst Series was NEVER made for this type of Gameplay. This type of Cheats and unlockables is an old
OVERUSED style of play and should not (And will not

) Be presented in URU.
3. URU was a unique game, it is different than all those others. I don't want to play a game where you can cheat or unlock things.
And besides: what is there to cheat on? These Ages are PUZZLE ages.... Cheating is wrong. Cyan would not support this like Paradox said. So please, take that idea to another game please. Thank you.......
Edit: Wait.... DID YOU SAY UCC!?!?!!? You can't use that! This is outdated technology! UCC Wasn't even
PROGRAMMED to be an online game! And another thing: UCC was realesed
BEFORE Xbox 360 was! I don't know what your thinking, but it just won't work. Please, before you post something like this, please actaully get to know what you are dealing with. Obviously you never looked anything up and had no idea what you were talking about. So thank you and.... Goodbye......

Topic moved to where it belongs.Opinion time....
Robbie,
Your assuming Cyan has the resources and money to code and publish the game for 360, which is pretty obvious they don't.
The only way they could do that is by selling the rights to a company who has the time and resources to do that. I don't see that happening either. The company would be taking a huge risk since Uru has failed three times.

UCC is User Created-Content... and it was very much designed for online play. Ages like Ahra Pahts and Zephyr Cove have always had the hope that you'll be able to explore them with others in an online environment. Not sure what exactly you're talking about...

I think he meant Uru: Complete Chronicles.
That's probably what the original poster meant too.
Valdez, you might want to tone down your post a little. Direct attacks on other members do not help exchange of ideas.

No cheats in Uru?
Why does "Flymode" come to mind.... ROFLMBO!!!!!
Making a game available to other systems besides the PC does not automatically make it a FPS, or close to an FPS.
Actually, Uru comes closer to a FPS than any of the other Myst games (except Myst V) due to the free movement in a 3D enviorment.
I don't see why making Uru available for the 360 would be a bad thing at all, as long as the core of the game is left the way it is now.
But as several others have said on here, I highly doubt that Cyan can afford to do this right now.

Not to mention the two platforms have different target customer bases. I doubt the typical 360 user is also a Myst player.
hard to complete Myst when you have the attention span of a fruit fly. Just saying.

You have to understand that porting over UCC to the 360 is not possible, even though its a variation on the DirectX SDK.
Considering also that Cyan doesn't have the man power either to do so even if they wanted to.
UbiSoft might have helped there if they didn't drop Uru Prime and Prologue back in 2003, so IMO this is a non event.

1. The engine can be rewritten to use XNA. Most of what would be needed is the content pipeline info... (That's the plugin.)
2. The 360 has a chat-pad available that plugs into the front of it so you can chat online, so no part of the game would have to be sacrificed.
3. The achievements could be as simple as completing puzzles or finding certain journals, etc.
3. I think Uru on a console could be fun.

Ha guys.
If anyone was hurt in our discussion.
We shouldn't be angry at each other for disagreeing on a misinformed topic. this shouldn't affect how we work on SFSOK.
thank you all for posting.

Sorry for reviving this post I just wanted to see a ratio of votes saying who thinks this would be a good idea or not.
And no we don't have to discuss achievements for UCC. I have abandoned that idea. Again this post isn't to tick anyone off. it is just to continue the discussion in an interesting manner.
