I still don't know why Cyan has never made a post to UO or any other community forum announcing that we can release ages again. I haven't gotten any email from Moke, Fryman or anyone else from Cyan since my last email from Moke almost two months ago. Why would they give a select few approval to release but noone else.

Has anyone else asked recently? ;)

Starfyre:

This fan-created content agreement seems like a recent thing; they may have finally figured out how to handle these ages just in the past couple weeks.

So, I recommend that you (and the other age builders with pending requests) re-send your request, asking for a similar agreement. That way, you'll get your own copy, plus you'll be assigned a reference number (in the subject of their reply to you).

We shouldn't have to ask. They should have email addys from everyone that put in their requests when they told us to stop working on them till they emailed Cyan last month.

Anyways I emailed Moke yesterday evening, I don't expect a reply till sometime next week at the earliest, about the merger and we taking over New Tree's ages. In the email I did mention about you all getting approval for release and asked him if he could confirm or deny the rumors.

What I find odd about the situation is that there has been no public statement about it. Why is that? They've clearly made up their minds about it, or they wouldn't be sending out the legal forms in the first place.

The terms are not for public display. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I doubt that somewhat. If they are about to give us approval to release ages then that means they will put a post on some of the forums out there. In fact I think somone had said that Ryan was going to do that. Hence the reason I am skeptical. Till I get the same email or I see a post from anyone at Cyan its not official. As of this moment, We have 4 ages, only 2 that are currently being worked on, and I am the contact for those projects. And since Age Builders is steadily growing I would think they would make some mention to either me or post here. And as I said they have not. Right now I think it was a case of mistaken identity. Now am I wrong. More then likely I am. But right now I only have a handful of people out of everyone listed on the List of Approved Ages thread so it does make me wonder.

the only explanation i can come up with is that Cyan wants to wait and put some ages through a trial period (beta testing for online ages, i guess) before allowing all ages to be online.

(i hope im in time to make this trial group...)

Zib: We are working on it. ;)

As far as I can tell, the ages are bug-free. Maybe Zrax will let you beta-test...

...but i still haven't recieved an email from cyan. how long has it taken other people? (actually since its only one person, i should ask this) j'anim, did you send an e-mail to cyan and get the approval as the reply, or was it out of the blue?
