I've got an idea of a game for the age I'm designing, Tehtahtooh, and I will wait for the game design part for now, as the age has currently only entered "the sketch and imagine it in my head" stage. I will need to begin the wiki lessons and learn Blender, so I may need somebody's help in two or three years. :P

I want to immortalize a game my father taught me when I was a teenager. Fortunately there are already animations and movable shapes in game that might be used for it.

To "storytellers" should go stories.
To "Artist" should go concept art.

If You just have a description of a idea of a puzzle- then "probably" storytellers might fit.
If got a concept art for such idea then "Artist" could be better.

But to be honest: neither does fit (not just "technically").

So why not add a puzzles section? Like I said, I only really "fit" in general and off-topic, and even then, not so well. Why can't we just open a section of the forum for puzzle ideas? People looking for puzzle ideas currently have no reliable place to turn to, and I feel that a lot of great ideas get lost in the shuffle because people don't know where to go for ideas and overlook some really great concepts. If we were to have a puzzles section, then the whole community could collaborate on puzzles and nothing else...and, as we all know, stories, concept art, and designs are all great, but you can't have Myst without puzzles. If nothing else, people who need help figuring out what puzzles would work in their ages could turn here to solicit help, and puzzle-builders could private message them in order to prevent fiendish ideas from leaking out into the community.

The way I see it, storytelling and concept art form the basis for ages, but you need people who can work with those ideas in order to come up with the next important step. It's like baking bread: you can have all the dough you want, but without yeast it will remain just dough. Likewise, you can have all the pretty pictures and amazing storylines you want, but without the next (and, in my opinion, central) layer, puzzles, then you'll never have anything more than a novel. The puzzles, smoothly integrated as they are into the environment and background story, are what make this a Myst game and not just a bunch of places you can go in a 3D online game.

@Equinox, if You have read my first post in this subject, You should know that I'm all for it. In last post I just gived credit to why I understood Tsar Hoikas and kaelisebonrai point of view. But I'm definitely for a separate "Puzzles" section of forum.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. And I wanted to try to convince the others that a Puzzles Forum is a good idea :)
