(Though it's *possible* kahinj was his brother, say, but whatever.)
Still, he never really did anything very bad. Flaming the GoW? Meh, even mystonline.com doesn't ban for flaming them. As annoying as people using sockpuppets is, especially to bolster their point of view, is it really so awful? Just annoying, but one cannot avoid annoying things without filtering out so many good things too.

Do you really want people to think that behavior is tolerated here? The ban circumventing, not the insulting.

I believe that banning someone simply because they disagree with the direction that a site takes is wrong.
I believe that banning someone because they flame about the site is wrong.
I believe that banning someone because they're flaming about the site like a loony bin is wrong.
I believe that banning someone because they're flaming about the site like a loony bin
and they're in a [moderatoration/administration/other higher loyalty required] position is completely just.
After all, if a political candidate was running for president, would you want to vote for him if he started ranting about how much [insert country of citizenship] sucks? I know I wouldn't, but I may be wrong here.

Actually, all of you are my clones that I saved from the Until Uru days. I decided to join this forum as each and every single one of you to stage these fights making sure to use a different proxy each time. You only think that you're making your own choices, but everything is going according to plan.

Well, ideally, one imagines ban circumvention is bad because you wanted them gone. Obviously, one doesn't like to be circumvented :P But the ban shouldn't have happened in the first place, so one should be lenient.
Similarly, circumventing copy protection on DVDs would be bad if copy protection were good, and thus those who like copy protection are harsh on those who try to circumvent it. But those who think copy protection was wrong to begin with, tend to think the harshness was undeserved, and the circumvention of something unjust is a good thing.

We have no reason to believe that the people who put copyright protection on DVDs are good or reasonable people, or that they will listen to anything we have to say. If Tyion disputed the ban, he should have contacted an admin or moderator by email to discuss the situation.

Haha, even if kahinj hadn't acted so suspicious, I think it would have been pretty obvious. He and CCNRep both used the malapropism "in that chase" instead of "in that case," within the same page of a topic. They both misuse commas and quotation marks in the same way, as well.
Being a grammar Nazi can be useful sometimes!

You mean "...hadn't acted so suspicious
ly."
Also, your last sentence in the first paragraph would be better in the past tense for agreement of tense in the paragraph and in the context of this forum.
Live by the grammar, die by the grammar.

Thanks! I stand (in a) corrected (manner)! I guess I'm more of a grammar Blackshirt, then.
