Fan Age Exp: Elodea [spoilers]

Hello halmonth,

it's a pity to hear that you have so many problems with Elodea.
Unfortunately I can't tell you why that is.
Previously, these problems were rare in Elodea. Over time, new Ages came to Deep Island and the problem has intensified.
Especially the upper world was always easy to play. Only the bell tower causes a crash, but you don't have to ring the bell.
You might want to try Ages Offline, although I've also heard players say they don't have the latest versions uploaded there.
Theodore's advice to set the graphics settings to low was correct.
Another thing I tried was to create a new avatar that hadn't played any other ages, at least that worked for me.

Just in case, also make sure you disabled shadows in the F4 menu. Those make the game crash very often in my experience.

I just tried a new avatar. And also disabled shadows. Didn't help. I'm crashing when I try to enter the rooms after I found first cloth, one ladder down from there.
I've never played offline. Not sure what I need to do. Is it a complicated process?

You have to install first Complete Chronicles on a seperate folder, calle it maybe Uru Offline.


Then you need to install Drizzle and download the Ages from there that Diafero provides in the package.
The newest versions can't always be found there, but I don't think that's going to detract from the game.
