Textured and uvmapped kinda sanely.

That is a nice bit of texturing! You could burn that with some lighting and a normal map and it'd look great in an age.

Thanks for the link, too. I really need to set up that Uru Repository Wiki I was thinking about. >_> Then people could set up individual pages with pictures and links to their models.

I would have probably allowed for more sides to make it a little rounder looking.

Same here personally, but who's to say that there isn't an heptagonal (10 sided?) cannen model?

I went with 10, at the start... and then never corrected it. >.>at this point, my choice is subsurf, leaving me with 1550 faces, or leave it as is >.> (it is already at 390, which is still high...) If I was to subsurf though... it'd look like this:
