I dubbed it a tornado after the first rendition of it :)
It looked more chaotic then. The new version is much more refined and structured at the usual angles one would expect. I like both concepts and am having a hell of a time figuring out if I like one set more than the other...
The tornado version I appreciated it's wild tilt and the way the glass fit together. I felt it matched the jungle well. The new version I like because it goes back to what Monkeyboy originaly intended the structure for. The new version clues you in right away about what might be inside.

I still can't decide which I like better :)

Yep, these versions do feel more conical; like Ruvinka was saying, it was the original version that seemed more "vortexy" because of the pattern of the glass panes--like a tornado! :)

So ABguy, satisfy my curiousity--who's Emeril?

Anyway...I guess there were different things I liked about the different versions. From the original version that went with the ERC exterior, I liked the way the diamonds which divided up the glass looked. For the second version, I like how the water comes off the edge in a curtain, and how you can walk into it. For the third version, I like how the shape is more curvy and organic feeling. Heh, so many choices! Of course, those comments would be for if the outdoor cone were intended for outdoors. For indoors, for the cone MB suggested, I think that the straighter version with the water pouring down in sheets would be the most appropriate (although the colors would probably need a change). So what do you think, ABguy? Do you want to try for an outdoor cone or an indoor cone? (And of course there's no reason you couldn't do both.) And the choice of how you'd like the outdoor cone to look is pretty much up to you in this case, our comments aside. :)

I'll watch it as soon as I have time and don't feel guilty. :)

Hehe, that looks like a funny show. I like it when he was adding the spices--"bam, bam, bam!" as he shakes them on. :D

So what do you think, ABguy? Do you want to make your cone design fit the outdoors or the indoors?

I really liked the 1st of the 2 designs. The first one is more like the design I had in mind, and the wall of water going over the edge is pretty cool. The tornado is neat to look at, but it looks as though, that's all it is intended, to just look at. I would like to see some interaction with the design, so the player can experience it in full. Being able to walk into it, see it from the outside and the inside, and listen to the rush of water from the inside and outside.

Maybe we can use the more calm interpretation of the cone outside the ERC and then use a smaller version of the tornado inside the main entrance hall of the ERC as a pretty stained glass freeform scupture?
I am just simply too in love with that chaotic tornado shape to let it go :D

ABguy? ...You there?

And what did you think of the building design...?

I am just simply too in love with that chaotic tornado shape to let it go :D

I'm beginning to feel that way too, actually. The tornado just has such a fun shape.

And as long as we're making decisions, if no one objects to using ABguy's exterior, let's go with that. :)
