Offline KI
Re: Offline KI
Well, it seems to work in windows mode, but I really prefer to use the fullscreen option, but at the same time, I don't want to deal with that minimization problem
I really hope I can get this thing fixed soon...I just don't understand how it was working just fine, then suddenly this problem comes out of nowhere

Re: Offline KI
Did you try setting Uru's resolution to 1024x768 and also setting your Windows resolution to 1024x768?
Re: Offline KI
For Uru yes I always run it 1024x768
However, I don't see why I would need to set my windows resolution to 1024x768, because before I had this problem, I never had to run Uru using a reduced windows resolution. I always ran Uru fullscreen, which means it automatically stretched the window to fit my monitors widescreen resolution, (which is 1280 by 800)
I'm really hoping that I can get rid of this minimization problem while Uru runs in full screen mode, because I know it is definately possible since it has done so before many many times
Are you saying that setting Windows resolution to 1024x768, and then trying it, will test to see if it is indeed a resolution issue that is causing this problem? Do you think toying with the dev_mode file to help it fit a widescreen resolution may help?

Re: Offline KI
It may be that you received a video card driver update or something that removed a supported video mode such that Uru is no longer able to set the same mode. Apparently the Myst Explorer's Toolkit will allow you to set unsupported resolutions on Uru, but I've never tried that.
Re: Offline KI
come to think of it, I did receive an update to my drivers not too long ago, but I hope that also explains why the problem is somewhat intermittent...
and as for the "Myst Explorer's Toolkit", do you have a link? I think it could be worth a shot to toy with it

Re: Offline KI
hmmm, still no luck
is there a way to check to see if this is indeed a driver issue? And if it is a driver issue, do you know of any way I could edit my current drivers settings to make it work?

Re: Offline KI
No, I can't think of a way to check that. Are you sure you installed the latest driver?
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Re: Offline KI
This may seem a little off the wall...and possibly a little insulting...but did you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones?
Installing new drivers on top of old drivers always causes problems.
