This is not the "guest"-book though -- this is where you sign your soul over to the guild.

Tsk, they never read the fine print.

Hmmm I might have overlooked my own post, but it looks I never posted here. So here we go:

I'm Marcello in-game, in most UrU related forums and in RL. I kinda live the U-r-U thing lol. 35 years as I write this and living in Haarlem The Netherlands.

The first Cyan game I played was Riven. I read about it in Wired and it looked so amazing I just had to play it. Played some of the other games and soon found out about Mudpie. Kept visiting the site every now and then until I could sign up for the first beta. I got invited to join in August 2003 and have been around since, participating in UU and the second beta. The idea of building my own ages interested me even when I saw Riven.

I tried to keep up reading with the guys at Alcugs and tried some stuff in the early days. Have to say though I lost interest with the features that were available then. Even then amazing work was done, but like most I waited until more stuff was available. The new plugin delivers just that and now I try to find more time to really build stuff. I have several concepts I want to work on and entered into my first RAD(2) contest with Shell 129.

I model, do graphics and textures, play guitar, but don't think I'm your man to make soundtracks. What I like most is think about concepts and story. I'm not the right person to write a story in the most readable way but like to think of concepts that have a solid base in a story. Or fit a concept to a story. I also wrote several tutorials and hope to do more or finish a few that are not done yet.

In RL I manage internet departments (editors, designers, programmers, etc.). Have done so for a large Dutch Broadcaster and for the Dutch Ministry of Justice. I just joined a large project that will integrate all sites by Dutch ministries into one government website. I'm working on the editorial and content model among other things. A pretty ambitious project and a great job!! So it's lotsa fun. I also have my own little internet consultanct business that I only spend time on if I feel like it.

Well, I'm Greg, and am on the Guild of Maintainers. While I probably won't be writing any Ages (combination of lack of artistic ability and no knowledge of Python whatsoever) it still doesn't mean I can contribute here. I started playing Uru with MOUL, and later stumbled upon the ULM and custom Ages once I'd gotten Uru:CC to play it.
*I hate introductions, never know what to say...*

Just one question, www.guildofwriters.com has nothing to do with this website, right?

You're correct - that site has nothing to do with us.

Hi everyone, my username in MO:UL was S3035 but i've decided it would be better to just extend it to it's full version as Shadow3035 (i'm not very creative with names). Anyways, i played MO:UL when it was available but i was never very involved in the community. I hope to change that around in the future, especially since my career will require me to be a team player. I will be majoring in game art and animation for the next 3 years, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

I have been interested in writing my own ages for quite some time. I have however, hit some roadblocks. such as having no knowledge of python or blender. I use 3D Studio Max. I've mostly been working under the radar so to say, sadly, i haven't really achieved a whole lot so far.

Anyways, it's nice to be here, and i hope to work become more involved with the community as a result, as well as turn some ideas into full-working ages.

Howdy Yalllllllll,
Do I have to do this I'm kinda shy?
Ok, well, been there, done that, will probably do MORE.
I found Riven before I knew all about Myst, and fell in love with it. Then found Uru Live too late and got into Until Uru and Loved it.
Anyway, I'm a comedian at heart, idealist, visionary, artist, thinker, troublemaker. I love to write, and make things up as I go. Until Uru got me interested in Making Videos and being able to express my ideas visualy. I have studied comercial art, and enjoy creating, and editing artwork on the pc. Which they didn't use much in my day. Cut and Paste was done with an exacto knife and wax. And people only made stupid banners on Windoze 3.1 while bored at work, using up reams of print out paper.
My spelling sucks, and I plead Poetic License concerning my grammer. It's the message thats important, right? And I hope there is something I can contribute here, with all the wonderfuly talented people of Uru.

My New Motto: "If you've taken me seriously, then you have taken me too far." ;)
