It's on Uam now! (If you're not using Drizzle27 yet, you'll need to change the server address on the Uam tab to http://dusty.homeunix.net/uru-ages/ )

Wamduskasapa, I think you might need to run SoundDecompress? 3dsmax Ages require that by default. Perhaps Drizzle should make all sounds streaming during conversion, so that this does not need to be done.

If rustee made his Age with Max, then there is something he has to do with his sound emitter if it's a "Non-Spatial" sound emitter, such as Ambient or Music sounds. He needs to put a check mark here:

I've found that without that check mark, non-spatial sounds will not work correctly.

Yes I have run Sound Decompress.

I do believe that UAM should automatically install and run Sound Decompress specially for Fan Ages..

Unfortunately this can not be done in a platform-independent matter.

I just checked it with plasmashop. Yes, the problem is that I renamed Ben's music file in the last moment and I forgot to link the renamed file to the scene. I updated the file on dropbox, should be working now.

I must say that Whilyam Age was pretty good, but rustee really raised the bar.
And I don't think that I would be able to beat it.

Anyway, I have two topics to address, regarding attached screen-shot:
screen.jpg
screen.jpg (30.46 KiB) Viewed 3564 times

1) red rectangle: @rustee: when I walk around the Age I see quite a lot of "flickering" of textures. That usually sign of two planes being in exactly the same space and "fighting" each other for fractals of Z-Buffer. Meaning: during rendering engine tries to predict which plane is closer to the camera, and depending on rounding of inside calculations, the difrent plane "wins" at every camera movement. It can be fixed by making sure no two planes occupy the same space.
2) green rectangle: Ok so yesterday I added similar fence in my age: a plane with texture containing alpha channel. While seen my fence, the waveset is in the background, but unlike on the screenshot the waveset in my age is not being visible through the fence. Instead the mesh underneath the surface of waveset is being shown. The waveset himself (viewing from the another angle) looks ok. Any hints on how can I fix this?

1. Strange, I don't think I have any flickering on my computer... The dirt layer geometry is certainly shifted a bit upwards, and it uses a decal material, so even if it's in the same position as the floor, it should be rendered on top of it.
2. Try to check "Alpha - Test High" in Advanced Parameters of your fence material.

Ad 1. How close in Blender units is dirt layer geometry??
Ad 2. I tried and I didn't find it. Where is button "Test High"? (we are talking about Blender 2.49, right?)

Ah no, sorry, I modeled it in Max and used Cyan's plugin to import.
