Hi Jonnee, nice to see you are "Still Alive" :)

Re-doing it all over again? I sure hope this is the right step, to me editing (shrinking) the existing age would sound more reasonable. But after all, this is your age - please have in mind that there are some explorers out there waiting for your next age more or less patiently while walking around in Jo'nae ;-)

If I may, I would also suggest trimming your Age down if possible.
Trying to maintain a huge Age and keep it playable can become a nightmare.
If it was possible to split it in two or more smaller related ones, in the same way as Eder Gira / Eder Kemo, and still keep the functionalities you want, it would be easier for you.
Another possibility is "paging in", using the technique Robert the Rebuilder applied on Ahra Pahts, if you don't want the player to experience loading a new Age. This would still let you edit the pages separately.

I know. But I'm sure that I really have to rebuild/reorganize the age, because it's not possible to split Breldur into two different ages because of its own shape and organisation. That's not a problem for me. There aren't many things to do:

At first I just have put all objects to an unused page (yes, I know how to work with pages).
Then I will create a new and smaller island. I have a great idea for that. 8-)
After that I will replace all objects that I still want to use step by step to the old pages, till they have the right position and look&feel.

That's all. :D

Thanks for the update, Jonnee. I'm glad you're still planning on working on your age, but definitely do it in your time frame. I'm sure you'll come up with a good way to make it more reasonable size wise and still be happy with it.

Is it possible you could release the existing version at the moment so that we could explore it at our own risk? I saw the videos you posted and am more than enthused about seeing the environment. Maybe after you complete the age for good, we could make a comparison of the two versions.

I'm sorry, Yali. I will not release the old version of my age. Don't want to show something incomplete to everybody.

I had some time this week to edit Breldur. Today I just want to show you first impressions of the new landscape (just a part of it).
It's still not finished, but you can see: Breldur is not that roomy anymore. Everything has moved together.
I like it, hope you do too.

Hugs, Jonnee

Do you mind if I ask where you get your textures? They look very nice!

It still looks amazing, Jonnee. And I like the volcano!

"Roomy" is overrated, anyway. If you want room, just run around Minkata for hours. :D

I get my textures by using the Google image search. After a few months I have a small collection of images now. But mostly I create the textures by myself. I just combine my collected raw images in an image editor.

@Oliver: Thanks.
All of my music and sounds already exist. Just check my old videos on youtube or vimeo! There you can hear them. 8-)
