Jamey,
I don't want the rule interpreted, I want it changed.

Alright, if you want it changed, that's fine.
Then do something about it to get the rule changed. PM either RAWA, Chogon, or another Mod on the forum, and ask for a possibility of it being changed. Having the [Message Redacted] logo at the top of the forum is not likely to get the rule changed. It's likely to cause annoyance to Mods and admins on the MOUL forums, making them less likely to change anything.
You have a problem with the forum rules. That is perfectly fine. So do something about it.

I have heard that a few people have already contacted the MOUL forum admins and mods about this. You seemed to think we are making up our opposition to the wording of the rule and I clarified my point.

You honestly don't think people haven't done this already?

I wouldn't have dared to imply what you're saying: that Cyan is so petty as to let a forum banner influence their decision-making process. I'm glad you are insulting Cyan like that and not me.

That is not what I am implying at all, and I'm not trying to insult anyone.

Having different policies for different versions of the same code is going to be impossible to enforce, and only cause confusion for everyone involved.
See
http://mystonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=339206#339206 for an example where the policy
has to conflict with what Cyan has already given permission to.

Believe it or not that banner may actually hurt them.. Or at best they'll simply rolls their eyes at it.
When people (Cyan) put work in something (their forum) and people (the GoW) react by saying: "ho hey; look you're doing such a crappy job that we're making a banner out of it" they may, or may not, enjoy it.. And they may, or may not, want to work their butts off for us..
They may not do a perfect job, but who does? Having been part of the mod team on their forum for several years I'm certainly not going to blame them for what it going on these days.
There's a french saying that I find pretty fitting here: "the best jokes are usually the shortest ones". That banner was fun for a while, but maybe it's time to take it down.

I have to agree with this one, we've made our point clear, and while we still want things fixed there's no need to turn it into a grudge.
