Here's one write-up on texturing in Blender that may be useful:

Ok I've made it up to the point where you go into UV face select mode. In the newer versions it isn't there. Do you know of an alternitive?

UV Face select can now be done in Edit Mode.

Lets all do the super FCAL dance! I JUST GOT MY LISCENCE!

I'm so thrilled! I thought it would take much longer!

I'm so glad this happened but I do have a few questions regarding the following.

"FCA is solely for private (non-commercial) use"

Does this mean I can't release Core to you guys or I just can't sell the age?

Anyway this is soo cool! YAY!!!

Also the emaili asked me to confirm compliance.

Should I send a reply or just follow the rules they gave me.

Well, depending on what you wanted to do, you didn't need a license to begin with. If you want to use Cyan assets or trademarks, that is another story. In that case, it says you can't sell it. I don't know how to interpret the use of the word private here, so I can't give advice on that. It might mean you can't share it, but more likely, it is just the vagueness which "(non-commercial)" attempts to clarify. I recommend you ask them what they meant and have them re-issue a license with better wording.

And yes, they want you to email them back to confirm, once you get a license that is acceptable to you.

Thanks for all your help guys. In response to all the texturing posts, I think I'll work on my texturing in a seperate blender file. For now I'm going to keep Core nice and gray! I'll texture that when the moddeling finishes.

And for the thing about my liscense, thanks. I sent a mail regarding my questions.

Thanks for putting up with my questions and incompitance!

Hey guys. Sorry I've been a bit lazy with the updates lately.

I've decided to make some framework to hang lamps on. heres a screen shot.

While I do this. On another file I'll try my work at texturing.

Hey again. Sorry that I've recently jumped on the lazy train, but the monotony of what I have done has caused me to just go Uhhh!

Lanterns. I have made lanterns. Lanterns and posts. I've spent my time putting up these posts and lamps and it just was monotonous and repetitive.

Anyway enough of my complaining. Here's a screenshot.

How do they look?

Anyway I'll try to update more often for you all.

Wish me luck.

The lanterns really help make the camp look more inviting and habitable.

Hopefully those lanterns are linked duplicates of the original (i.e. using Alt-D to make copies). That way, when you apply materials and textures to the original, all the others are automatically updated.
