Re: Operating System Survey!
Since Windows XP is going to get more dated as time goes on I voted for Windows 7. I run MOULa from Windows 7 and it runs fine.

Re: Operating System Survey!
Yesterday, Microsoft announced that they will continue to support Windows XP in the new version of their Visual C++ compiler. Previously, they planned to drop support with this new release. This means that we can use new features added by this compiler (and boy are they nifty...) and not drop support for Windows XP.

Re: Operating System Survey!
Very interesting news. Considering I use both Win 7 64 and XP for different things.
Re: Operating System Survey!
In theory, this won't affect users visibly at all, but devs will be required to use at least the free VS2012 Express.Tomala wrote:Very interesting news. Considering I use both Win 7 64 and XP for different things.
Re: Operating System Survey!
I wasn't expecting any visual changes TBH. But this is still rather nice.

I use a "Windows 7 x64 / Windows XP x32" Dual Boot, where "7" is the default OS.
I play "MO: UL" shards (MO: UL, Minkata, TOC and Gehn) on "7".

Me tooJ'Kla wrote:I am still using XP and probably will for as long as I can and I'm using a lot of Android stuff via my Phone and I can see me moving to an Android tablet at some point. I run Ubuntu inside a Windows folder and have some variations of older stuff running in an Oracle Virtual also on the XP.
I would like to run everything from Ubuntu and at some point I will be reversing the options with the primary being Ubuntu Linux with the XP running on a virtual machine on top of that.
I'm also regressing back looking at the RaspberryPi where I want to emulate a Sinclair Spectrum but I doubt we will be able to run Uru from the Spectrum emulator but a Linux Client may run on a RaspberryPi.
