I'll second the comments about Lontahv's Age. After visiting it when it came out I knew the best I'd get was second. It felt like an Age of Myst (lacking only the clever name like "Selenitic"). I especially liked the note at the beginning which set up the entire Age as a sort of dream. This doesn't even mention the superb modeling and great shadowing. Nothing to do there, but this could certainly be an Age to gather in on a MORE platform.

Congratulations Lontahv, your Age was amazing. This was my first Age, I’ve spent the last few months playing around with Blender trying to make an Age. I thought this contest would motivate me and it did. I’ve learned a lot and maybe next time will I’ve actually have a chance against such great Age writers. Thanks to the judges and to everyone.

I wasn't judging this time, so I can just enjoy all of these wonderful ages!! Congratulations Lontahv! I agree with previous 'speakers' here - your age is really amazing! Good vibrations there, I have to visit often, hehe. Maybe I'll even be nice and wise like a buddha if I go there often enough :D

I really like the garden ages too, THANK YOU Whilyam, andy and Sean! It feels good to have them all in relto now. They are different and that's good! I can now choose different gardens to visit, depending on the mood I'm in! :)

boblishman, your age is a 'wonder what I will find next time I visit?' very interesting indeed!A certain feeling there... a little of 'be cautious'...
GPNMilano, you have spoken some of what you want to be in your age, beside those good things that already are, I'm looking forward to see all! :) Likewise for trylon - what is there to be found behind all those doors? :D Those ramps are great fun :)

/me cheers

I just wanted to say I also really enjoyed Lontahv's Age, so bravo on your win! :) All of the Ages were great, and filled with potential. I really enjoyed judging, even if I was slow about it. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Lontahv, I found your Age a 3d painting. The batch is very strong and also you use of colour and light are very good. It carries out calm. You feel it. Outside your qualities in programming, you are very creative. I think your age is the best. Simplicity is an art, you are having succeeded in.

Eder bahvahnin
Andy, your age is wonderful with the birds you can hear. The statue and the bridge in your age is very nice. You have had much work to all flowers and plants. Try not to make everything perfect because it does affect the atmosphere.

Eder Licinius

gppn Milana,it is regrettable that the cab of cane has not worked. The cab is incredibly good textured. This is much work and must be fixed. I am glad that you have sent the age yet while it is not yet finished. The cave with the water is nice. I am very curious to know how your age is after the Dawn .

Brave to send in you first age this way. Try to make your textures by yourself with photoshop or Mapzone (freeware). I work with Mapzone and you can make with that really great textures. It is much work but the results are there to. So it further and you will see that with the next RAD you have made progress.

Ulteemah
Bob, I can see that you have put a lot of energy in the textures. It is, however, a pity that you have used the same textures for the pace. You can leave it in this way, but make then a crack to interrupt in the recurrence. An object on the ground or to the wall also is an option for breaking the recurrence. The textures of the plataue of the lift are nicely and really complete. I find, however, that the time is quite long before you are above, this making shorter can be an improvement.

Bimevi
Whilyam, you have made a good tale, you can see it back in you your age. I always neglect this part by myself. Also very nice the cubes, turning around. My recommendation is, however, try not too put to much things in your age and tries and give the textures more attention.

Gairdin GrianmharTrylon, what a architecture. I very curious how it looks when the age is finished. Furthermore the doors in the hall are very stretching, what is the meaning of them. I find the working camera also great.

As last sorry, my English is not so good and then is it very difficult to express what your exactly meant. I have tried defining what I found of the ages and all recommendations have been constructively meant.
;) ;)

Congrats so much guys, especially Lon, Whilyam, and andy!

Here's my comments on each--you all did a great job :)

Eder Bahvahnin
Andy and I have cleared this matter in private--the Age crashed my computer, and I was not able to notify Grogyan until perhaps too late in the competition. I was, nonetheless, not able to give it a score.

Tahm Hehvo
An excellent first release! VERY good job for your level right now. I love the small plants--they are very well done. What I would suggest is learning how to use alpha blending to seamlessly transition between two textures, and also using larger texture sizes for your rocks. But this is really nice--with a little bit of polish it could definitely be a place I'd want to hang out in. Great job!

Eder Licinius
This Age conjured memories of Releeshahn, in a very good way. I also am beginning to recognize your style as an artist GPN--I could tell after exploring for a moment that this was definitely a GPNMilano Age, and that's a good thing :) I was also impressed by the moving clouds. Overall, I found the Age very relaxing and fun to run through.

Tre'bivdil
Wow, dude, seriously? This Age blew me away. The lighting is so well done. It really did recall--as Whilyam said--an Age of MYST. Well done, Lon. Really well done.

Bimevi
This was my runner up. Incredible work here too. It's very refreshing to see an Age with a story--and ontop of that, it looks beautiful too. I could see myself spending quite a bit of time relaxing here :)

Ulteemah
Great job on the textures, bob. The elevator is cool too. I'm anxious to see if this turns into anything more evolved :)

[u]Gairdin Grianmhar[/b]
Interesting convergence of shapes here, Trylon. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "small Age," but it's still cool. Stepping into the outside was cool--personally, I'd use a sphere for my skybox, but the image you've picked is pretty cool, I like it, it's got a sort of painted quality to it. I also like the soundlessness of the Age--artistic choice or not ;)

So those are my thoughts :) All of you did a great job, in your own ways.

After reading a bit of the documentation for the age. It occured to me the first time I stepped outside, that this was supposed to be a cube rather than a sphere. As, from what I understood, its a laboratory, seeing the cube, so close to the building, that is so vividly painted, it conjured up the idea that the box itself is part of the building, and that perhaps the entirety of the structure exists inside of a much larger building. That the lab itself is an experiment of a larger lab.

I feel an explanation for why there are 0's for my scoring of Tahm Hehvo should be given.

Upon linking to this Age, my graphics processor was so overwhelmed that I had to use F3 in order to bring up my Relto book. As a result I couldn't really explore this Age and give an accurate scoring. SeanMC, as a suggestion, you should release a low-res version of your Age if you're going to continue with it so others don't encounter a similar problem.

This "gpu overload" effect is caused by the shadow setting on all the objects. It needs to be turned off in the material settings. And for people trying to visit any age with this problem, turn off shadows in your graphics settings before linking in and all will be well.
