By the by, you might want to "svn co" GPNMilano's and Paradox' contrib stuff. IIRC, both were working on GUI stuff. You might also want to have some chats with diafero (Offline KI, among other things) and Dustin (aka, ddb174, as in, "main dev" of Drizzle, and writer of the First Age of Dustin, and the Second Age of Dustin, again, among other things).

...I didn't see this thread...
Well... is it ok if I post a link to my post saying "hello", showcasing my skills, and asking some questions:

Hi everybody!
I'm Malfhok (obviously). I'm here because I love storytelling and I have ideas for Ages, but I don't generally have the skills to make them. So I'll lurk around here and post some story and Age ideas that people can take off on!
And that's about all I have to say. Except perhaps that I live way too far away from Cyan HQ.

I'm Equinox, and I got referred to you guys through a writer named Zuri. He told me to post some of my ideas on your forum (I put it on the off-topic thread since I don't know where it belongs). I'm not good with technology, but I wanted to share some of my thoughts in case they might be useful.

Hi there, I'm the Ranting Thespian. I have been playing MYST since I was little and my brother bought it. I have played everything in the saga(including realMYST) and even read the 3 books. Ever since MO:ULagain announced of trying to get user created ages into the game, I immediately wanted to create an age.
I am someone who has too many ideas, and is good with creating art on the computer, but I am horrible at programing or anything like that. I can work and create models in 3ds max, and create textures in photoshop, and someone has been helping me to bring the age to life through their Blender program (I send him .obj files, and he puts them together).
I hope I can be an asset to the GoW by assisting people in art and stories while in turn help bring my dream age to life.

Hello age writers.

I'm Tsal, and though I'm second to useless when it comes to programming and technology, I'm a prolific artist bursting with ideas and want you guys to know that I draw tons of inspiration from your creations. I look forward to seeing what the Guild of Writers produces next, and I hope that I can help somewhere along the way.

Hey Gang,
I'm Justin, a young game developer with a focus on programming. I'm new to the whole 3D modeling aspect of Age Development, but have been poking around in Blender for a week or 2 and I'm beginning to feel more comfortable in it. I've started making my own Age and got a basic prototype running in URU, but have had to restart many times as I get more familiar with Blender and the best ways of doing things. Anyway, I'll likely be asking tons of questions soon enough, hope you guys are up to the challenge.

IVBEO AVETE, I'm Menelmacar. Unless you've been on MystCommunity you probably don't know me (counting the off-chance you've encountered another of my nommes de nette elsewhere online).
I know basically zilch about programming or digital graphics, facts which I am slowly attempting to remedy, but I come bearing Age and puzzle ideas that... let's just say I really liked Riven and Spire and leave it at that... as well as the ability to make concept art, and a fairly good head for physics and math. So, from what I can tell I'm mainly going to frequent the "Storytellers" and "Artists" fora.

Shorah, all, I'm Carl, and I've been a Myst addict for... Wait, wrong kind of forum...
I own and play almost all of the Myst games, including (but limited to) Myst (the original edition), Riven, Exile, End of Ages, Uru CC, and MO:ULa.
(I've also completed all of them, but that should go without saying...)
I'm also a programmer, a 3D artist, and a bit of a designer.
(I'm working on writing a simple 3D game, and have ideas for a game with a similar style to the Myst series, though a rather different storyline)
