Just received a PM from Nek'rahm, who has graciously released his shells (102, 336, 412).

I think I'd like to have that shell 412, since it is one of the last available ones in the Blue district.

After some examination, I suspect that the cause is corruption of the shell file, or some other Blender bug. I've posted about it over on the Blender forum, hopefully someone of the experts there can confirm it. Robert, how did you create that file?

I will try to build a workaround for this, or at least a graceful failure mode, into my PyPRP.

Quick report on the state of things in this regard:

  • The problem has nothing to do with importing objects from another file, it can also easily be reproduced in a single file. I've filed a bug report about it in the Blender bug tracker.
  • You should be able to get things back to normal by selecting object 218Wal in the master shell file (or also in the exported single-shell file) and changing the OB/ME switch in the Links and Pipeline panel of the Shading > Material buttons from OB back to ME.
  • I've changed my PyPRP to only use the modified mesh when the object actually has any modifiers (rev 341 of my experimental branch). This sidesteps the issue in this case, since there are no modifiers on the shell wall object.

If shell 219 is still available, I would like to request it. If it is not, I will have to think of another shell to request.

Thank you in advance.

Shorah,

I've signed up for Shell 240.
This will be my Study Room and Gallery for Drawings and Concepts ^^

But one thing: The tall Walls dont stand for a good Neighbourhood and
make the Orientation very difficult. It could be better without walls.
But after all a good City Design, reminds me at the "Triforce" from Zelda :D

Greetings / MfG

PS: I hope the OpenSource Tools will be released this year.
Blender is getting me Mad! Argh...
