Re: [ Showcase ] GoW - Age
I'd just like to say, I'm really, really impressed by this age. It truly looks like a Myst age, with the same quality (if not higher quality) as an official Cyan product. I look forward to exploring it in Uru!

I've been watching this thread with interest and pleasure -- your models look very good indeed!
What sort of help would you like to have from GoMa? We would be happy to help you where we can. For inspections (aka bug testing) contact ametist, who is in charge of that department.
By the way, Andy Legate has set up a shared Blender mesh repository if you would like to include your models on that.

Re: [ Showcase ] GoW - Age
Thanks for the comments, everyone. Vertex coloring is a good point that I missed in my list. I see it with my own fledgling models - first I go to great lengths to make them as low-poly as possible, then I go and add lots of vertices again to get the necessary resolution of the vertex coloring...
That exploded view is very instructive, Oneironaut! I'm looking forward to following your progress with this age.
I'm particularly baffled at the speed at which you produce such high quality work. Each of the steps you have shown so far would have taken me weeks to complete...

This looks great.
It says a lot about the Writers that our agency is a hole in the wall but we have an enormous pub. Writers rule!
Keep it that way. I'll bring the D'Ninness.
On the other hand, a brewery in Wisconsin makes an aptly named "Island City Amber Light".

Re: [ Showcase ] GoW - Age
I would also suggest to add a linking book to Writers' Niche, since it is supposed to be a GoW age as well.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

I can't wait to visit this place. Amazing modelling. If you guys manage to texture and light the place with the same quality than we might have one of the first ages with true Cyan quality here!!!!
