The offense was intolerable.

I remember a time when a young AJ was running around the shards, raising havoc with his modified KI, and yet he wasn't banned. And now he is a leader in the Uru development community. Maybe I'm just a softie, but I think everyone deserves a second chance.

I do agree, but I'm too lazy to meddle.

My memory must be flawed because I only remember having an adminKI just like the other shard admins that had no "havoc creating features."

If havoc was somehow caused, then I was most certainly left out of the loop, which would have been very bad for the shards I visited.

I don't remember that part. All I remember was him being a pain in the ass, only these days he's earned style points for it. :D

Hmmmm....

I believe that if neither of the parties who are involved in this are willing to reveal the details of what happened, that those of us outside the issue should respect their privacy.

If the administration, yes there are more than one admins decides to unban him or keep the ban forever, that is their prerogative.

The above is completely unwarranted and could be misconstrued as a personal attack. Fortunate for you, I am not a mod here anymore. I would have gave you a warning for that.

While I agree with you that we should respect the privacy of the people involved in this, I strongly disagree with this. I really don't see how this could be seen as a personal attack. Sounds like a good-natured and very polite admonishment to me, the kind of thing a parent might say.

...aaaand that's where I'm going to stop contributing to this topic (see above). :D

That's why it's a personal attack. When you make a statement to someone as if you're their parent or in some kind of authority, when you're clearly not, you are patronizing them. It's completely impossible in written communication to decipher someones intentions unless they spell them out. You saw his post as one thing, I saw another. I believe if he wanted to make this seem as a well intentioned jab at Hoikas, he should have made that more clear.

Perhaps we should agree that without prior knowledge of the infraction, we should not form opinions. I, for one, (without prior knowledge of said event) welcome Tyion to redeem him/herself. I've done some really stupid things in my life and have had the opportunity to reclaim my status.

However, I am not Tsar Hoikas. I have not been around for several years in this forum. I don't know what Tyion did/said in the NDA section of that forum. For all I know, it may have been absolutely INTOLERABLE. If so, I may agree with Hoikas.

Or, it may be something trivial (due to speculation). I am not in the position to form an opinion, due to lack of evidence. On the same token, if it was a violation of an NDA, there may be legal implications. This may be a BIG deal. Or, it may be something inconsequential. Who knows? A few do. But.... being as this is a private matter (noone is willing to devulge information, and understandably so), I CANNOT form an opinion.

Considering the lack of information, I can only do one thing (Sorry Hoikas, I'm sure you mean well.) - and that is to welcome Tyion2. I hope you can make a contributution. If you do anything stupid here, you can rest assured that I'll be the first one carrying a pitchfork and a torch.....

And, that, BAD, is why I'm sure most of us are definitely glad you aren't a mod anymore. Because a warning for that is completely unwarranted.

I don't think anyone actually cares about what happened. It's all idle speculation out of mild interest because not much else is happening. That, and making fun of Adam, which is always on-topic of course...

And you would have been wrong, as usual. :D You always take things too seriously.
Isn't it fascinating that I have disagreed with every single one of your moderating actions without exception, although I agree with you on all other things?

I miss the fights we had!

Edit: i just saw this:

Yeah, that's true. But that's the way of the internets... I'm sure we're all used to it.
