I can't even delete it from my own sub-forum: moderators can't delete threads

L O L... well it really isn't funny to get spammed like this GoW forum just did, but it's funny I was here in the middle of the whole epi to see/read the response to it all. duck****? that's actually kinda lame description for cyberterrorist attacks on forums, but it probably is allowed terminology in the rules section where other, more accurate descriptions are not.

Now I am required to multitask. I'm off to GoMe to see if the bots showed up and wreaked any havoc there, while I try to finish my review of happenings here.

Adam, are you still resistant to the Q&A Captcha even though it is now built into phpBB 3.0.6? I know you didn't want to mess with MODs before, but now all you have to do is upgrade and enable. It really works very well. Of all places, you'd think the GoW would be the best at defending themselves. You have a reputation - of sorts - to uphold.

On the other hand, this spam stuff really livens up the place. The humor with which it has been approached here - obviously a nervous coping mechanism peculiar to technogeeks - is really quite fun to read. Especially that porno link edited to point at this forum - that was knee-slapping funny. That's why I always look forward to visiting these forums.

I was holding out on updating to phpBB 3.0.6 because I took issue with the fact that phpBB Group added new features in a bugfix build. I guess I need to get over myself and apply the update.

And for some reason, my country blocks are no longer working... At all. Well, I'll have to see about that. With the mail issues and the reduced access I have to the server, I am considering moving us again. It's pretty much a pain to do anything involving uploading something to this site anymore... For example, the corporate overlord turned off FTP. In my defense, I had no idea that the corporate overlord was even in the picture until I was out of the picture O.o

Ah well, such is life.
