Please keep the banner up until there's some action from it. We have no idea whether Cyan has even seen it and, if they have, why haven't they addressed it. RAWA called the rules a middle ground, but that middle seems just a step from where Cyan used to be.

I don't think the banner will change anything if the specific complaints we've had haven't changed anything. They don't even seem to acknowledge what goes on in this forum, so for all we know, they haven't even visited in a long time.
If I had a signature, this is where it would be...

I too think that the joke went on long enough. It was fun for a while, but it's slowly getting old now.
One day I ran through the cleft for the fiftieth time, and found that uru held no peace for me anymore.

Well Whilyam. Cyan may not even care about our opinion at the moment and they may even consider our banner joke a little childish. Why make a big deal out of it through anger and disgruntled pranks? The best approach would be to ( please forgive my cheesiness ) address cyan with the problem through mail and make your point and tell them your opinion. Like I said they may not even care, but it's a much more efficient way of getting your thoughts across without looking like a group of nasty people and it may get Cyan to respect us a little more on their level.

So by this reasoning, protesting outside a capital building with signposts is childish? Picket lines and strikes are childish?

Well I don't think were being seriously oppressed Tsar and remember, Cyan is a company that has made a lot of money and has sold many copies of their games. What are we? We are just a fan base to them most likely! I know that yes we are making our own awesome creations and such but think about it through Cyan's eyes. We are a bunch a brilliant, intuitive, and ingenious fans. ( notice how I stressed our awesomeness ) Also back to your thoughts about strikes and pickets and such. Do the company's that are being stricken like that? No. Is the government upset about that picket? Yes. I know that they eventually they give in but do we really need to waste our own precious time that we could be using to make our ages our pursue life on a little fight about a little rule? Now don't get me wrong I do think that Cyan appriciates us but mabey their having trouble seeing a flaw that we can easily help fix without fighting.

People have been doing this for years. The result is that Cyan allowed discussion of hacking MOUL, something which is currently not used to make Ages, and forbade discussion of what is actually being used. Cyan needs to give the fans respect and vice versa. The banner is not a sign of disrespect. These rules Cyan has made are. If Cyan gets in a fit about it, that's their problem. That would be far more petty and short-sighted than I would ever imagine Cyan.

Look, this is business 101. You don't ask your customers to make your product for you and then shut off discussion of the only manner in which they can do so. It is a waste of Cyan's time and ours. It is a waste of Cyan's resources and ours. It is past time Cyan stopped treating the community like untrustworthy hackers.

Good point. You know I've only been in this deal for a while and I guess I jumped to conclusions a little too fast. This is probably because I am a super Myst geek and immediately jumped on board when I learned I could help with ages and such. Also, usually during an argument my ego bulges up like a balloon and I have the sudden feeling that I have to shout my full opinion to the world with a large spoonful of nerdy passion. It's my own fault I get fired up.
During this time of the hacking was this happening often? Maybe they jumped to conclusions as well. It's hard to get trust back once you have lost it.
