Re: Message Redacted?
Thank you, Branan. That is quite an accomplishment – I wouldn’t have expected so much openness from Cyan at this point. I very much appreciate your initiative and your level-headed attitude.

Here here. It's great to see things moving in the right direction again. We all kind of stagnated since we lost contact with Cyan. It's great to see the communication channels opening again and things moving forward on both ends.

I'll tell you what I told the last person who called me level-headed: What you don't see is my banging my head against the wall, flipping off my screen, and swearing out loud at people.
Then when I'm done with that I write a nice post

Re: Message Redacted?
Thanks for those tips, Branan, maybe they come in useful at some point for me, too...
Regarding the announcement: Honestly, its quite a bit more than I expected Cyan to do in the near or far future. I mean, its not a huge technical effort and (hopefully) nor costing lots of time, but its an important change in attitude. Finally we may not only talk about MOUL hacking in their forums, we may even do some of it on their Shard. Not much will change for me as I rarely visit MOULagain, but I hope for this to also show the new players that we hackers are not those Bad Guys destroying their Uru, but just the opposite.

I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

To be clear, the /only/ changes are as follows:
1. Creation of the Hood of Illusions and The Fun House hoods.
2. Creation of the Hood of Illusions sub-forum at MO:UL forums for discussion about what happens there.
I want to be clear that no forum policies have changed. The forums can be used to talk about what happened ("Wow did you see X or Y?") but not how-to's ("Here's how they did it:"). However, some of that talk will happen in the Hood of Illusions. We can, of course, use the forums to mention what's happening and to schedule events.
This all came about after the hacking at the end of Rand's visit to the city a couple of weeks ago. An opportunity was seen and taken. We reached out to RAWA to discuss the matter and he proposed the creation of the hoods. Stunned, excited, and eager, we accepted his proposal and started discussion the particulars of who was going to do what, what was allowed and what wasn't, etc.
