Thanks for letting us join this event. Though I was not able to attend to it while it was running, I watched it afterwards (with some skipping) - and it was interesting.
Merry Christmas

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the broadcast
If we were a real company and were trying to make money, that process wouldn't have taken nearly as long or been nearly as "interesting"

Don't be too sure. Have you ever tried Star Wars: The Old Republic? They take their servers down at least 5 hours on each update, and sometimes the update process took the whole day until late in the evening. ^^Tsar Hoikas wrote:If we were a real company and were trying to make money, that process wouldn't have taken nearly as long...
You were really fast.

This, however, is absolutely true.Tsar Hoikas wrote: or been nearly as "interesting"

Re: Update Livestream
Ouch!
I like to take lessons from Guild Wars. One of the original ArenaNet founders, Patrick Wyatt, has a great blog and he often explores things they did for Guild Wars. I try to take lessons from him where I can, though sometimes the things he talks about are best left for extremely mission critical software. And he totally ignores C++11. But Guild Wars could be updated in about 5 minutes without kicking any players off of the game.
