I was going to be working with Diafero. Diafero was going to handle the python scripting, while I was going to handle the design and implementation of the GUI itself. However I will instead now be focusing on the redesign of the Cyan Nexus based off of Tweek's design concepts for it. I can't speak for diafero myself, but I imagine if he is going to be working on anything Uru related this summer, it will probably be the redesign of the Cyan Nexus, since their Nexus is something he's familiar with.

I drew up some ideas a few years ago, what people want to do with them is up to them. I have a great dislike for online Uru and have no plans to be a part of it. When I'm in the mood to build it's for offline only and even then I don't really care for it anymore.
A few hundred posts back, you linked to your URU concepts blog. Most of our new Nexus/Library will be designed based of of it.
Yes, I made my Uru Concepts site 3 years ago, I've not updated it since. It was there for ideas as I said before what people want to do with them is up to them.

Yes, the Nexus would be one of the things I'd like to work on - together with bringing all Alcugs features to CWE+Dirtsand. But at least for the next 6 weeks, university will keep me totally busy.

Especially not one as controversial as this.
That's just me, though.

Redesign of the Cyan Nexus? What do you mean?

Well, almost the entire GoW agrees that something needs to be done about the current Nexus setup. Although one can easily visit Fan Ages with the Nexus or /link or even /bookshelf, exploring Fan Ages would be a lot easier with a new Nexus.

But this functionnality is not in the game yet, that's the whole point of this project.

We can link to custom Age using the offline ki, or through UAM/Drizzle; but not through the Nexus.

Exactly. That's why a WNexus is needed so much, some people don't want to get technical and edit their bookshelf or link using a KI. They just want to play the game through and access Fan Ages using a Nexus or Library. This is important because those types of players will come on MOUL shards, and, because of OpenURU and the GoW Plasma Fork, those days aren't far off. The reason these arguments about functionality occur is because the Nexus is such an important project, like what Aloys said. Everyone has a different view, which is good because it helps us along. This kind of project is what helps us along the most.

Said functionality already exists.... We already have a nexus. That nexus can already link to ages...
Just... Don't be surprised if your request for a project forum is denied =P
Note that even before open source we could link to arbitrary Ages using the nexus.. So, yes, this is duplicating functionality. =P

I hate to repeat what I said earlier, but everyone on this board agrees that the current Nexus setup is horrible.

That assumes that people still care.... and right now,
that's a bit of a problem.
*frees up some space on github and deletes his fork of Plasma*
