Don't worry. I think that modifing shell in Ahra Pahts is quite good way of starting lerning how to make ages.

Pokemon71096: I recommend waiting until you finish your first shell, especially since this is your first time working with Blender. The tendency has been for people to grab multiple shells, but after a few years of inactivity, they eventually give them back.
