If you just jump into the volcano you'll fake link to the interior of the volcano from Myst V. The two relto pages are part of the addition that allows you to link to MOUL. But the pages aren't set up for relto. Reason being is that it requires a new page to Relto, and a bunch of changes to the GUI and to the python files, which isn't included in this version. Its up to Diafero wether or not he wishes those changes to be included in future versions.

I just got my clean install in last night and fired up the new offline KI + other good stuff, and I have to say...

...I'm impressed. I mean really impressed. Not like a "this is pretty good for someone who never worked on a game before" kind of impressed." It's more of a "I frequently forgot I was technically looking at a hack, and not a beta expansion pack put out by Cyan" kind of impressed. :)

Is it me or is Minkata actually playable? I went as far as the first symbol, and everything seemed to work as it should. So far I haven't found the MOUL K'veer of the Myst V Myst yet, but I was up last night playing it for 4 hours.

All I can say is Diafero, GPNMilano, Dustin, excellent work! :)

1. When I was in the cleft and jumped the fence, I did not see anything inside the volcano except for blackness
You can't actually see anything in there (GPNMilano thought about really putting the volcano interior in there, but it turned out to be too hard). So you see nothing but blackness, jump into it, link... and then you reach the inner of the volcano, the same place, just another age (that also solves the problem of the age getting too big).

2. How do you get the MOUL Relto. When I started I went to the TPOTS Relto. I did see in the cleft the 2 relto pages.
As GPNMilano already wrote, a Relto page consists of many parts. Three, actually:
1) The page you click on at the place where you can collect it
2) The page GUI which is shown after clicking on it an which is also in your Relto book (this could also be called two different parts as two different Python files have to be changed)
3) The Relto change itself which gets enabled when the page is enabled
Part 1 and 2 are in the Offline KI for some of the new pages (Cleft, Delin and Tsogal). Part 2 is there for the Er'cana plants. Part 3 is not yet contained for any of the pages, but I plan to add it in a later release (when this one is confirmed to be working and stable), which will make most of the Relto pages completely functional :)

...I'm impressed. I mean really impressed. Not like a "this is pretty good for someone who never worked on a game before" kind of impressed." It's more of a "I frequently forgot I was technically looking at a hack, and not a beta expansion pack put out by Cyan" kind of impressed. :)
That's the kind of feedback which makes us going on - thanks a lot :)

Not only Minkata but also Jalak and the Pods should be completely playable and the other MOUL ages completely working :D The only exception are the cones in the new Kirel which fall through the ground when you touch them.

Here some screenshots for those of you who'd like to see what they get before downloading

(the age is Ulteemah by bob, I just wanted to show that marker missions work, even in fan-ages)

Image

For screenshots of the new ages itself, see the pictures by Dustin at http://picasaweb.google.com/ddb174/Moul - it shows the development process from single objects to work to whole ages. Most of the glitches you can see there have been fixed in the mean time.

Everything looks really cool and i like how everything is available in the city, except the Kadish Gallery doors...lol. One question and it is kinda open ended. what is the plan for all of this as far as completeness as with functionality for the ages?

I really love it, its been a long awaited hack IMO.

Still like to have the idea that you can share marker games, especially with user created Ages. Any idea if or when you'll change it from saving to the vault to a line by line text file like Jalak's /savecolumns and/loadcolumns?

I havn't tried this, but can you pickup these markers from within a subworld?

The aim for MOUL is to provide fully functional ages and have them fully integrated, but on the other hand to change as less ages as possible. We don't plan to change the Cleft to also get the MOUL TPOTS speech and the link to Kveer, for example. What is currently missing are Relto pages, sparklies and the Pod map in the city, the rest should be done (except of course for bugs like the cones in Kirel which fall through the floor).
The Myst V ages... I have a list of problems I would like to fix, but we won't be able to make them fully functional as the tablet can't be converted to Uru.

It would be much work to create such an exporter and an importer, and I most likely won't have that much time the next few months. I'll put it on my list, but perhaps you can also find someone else to work on this?

An interesting question, I guess you will have to test it.

Jalak did not use subworlds. It used physics updating flags IIRC.

Wow! This is amazing! Kind of a random question, Will you be making a version that ULM works with?
