There are client-side dictionary files for the language filter.
That filter is the first thing we have to get rid of.
Most ridiculous thing ever.

If they don't think a dyke is a Dutch seawall and King Dick was anything other than shorthand for King Richard III or a brand of spanner then their parents are to blame. Real problems for Mary Poppins chimney sweep Dick Van Dyke.

Chacal> Would you rather it be controlled by your KI code or by the server? The server doesn't really do anything but routing. I wouldn't want it to have to do more because then snooping would get much easier.

But I DO think having both chat sending and chat receiving censored is a little... extreme. I think only client receiving should be censored.... it's not like the Plasma Server is a child. :P

Yes, children have rights. If someone is calling them names they have the right to know what those names are. :D Not that you could learn the average child something new in that area...

Yeah, I was kinda expecting it. :P

But I want to be able to walk up to Jamey, Paradox or Hoikas, say "Boobies!" and watch them faint.

Actually, Lon, what I meant is the whole idea of filtering is ridiculous. We have to rip that out from the client and of course never put it on the server. Censorship is bad, period.

There's no filter in real life, is there?

Yeah you're right. Besides, if someone's *** swearing at me I want to know how dirty they're getting if you know what I mean... :P Censoring masks the real person behind the avatar (or at least when that person swears).

What about if we set as default that KI mail, chat logs, Marker Games and images that not only you make but also receive from others on your local disk.

It was a shame to lose all the great pics that people sent me, especially when we only had a limit of 15 (or was it 30) KI mail items.

There is similar discussions happening here
http://forums.openuru.org/viewtopic.php ... p=403#p403

We have prety much got a defninite that we want to introduce a "party" system to the already established "invite" system, where one person initiates the party , and a chat channel tab will be created for that party, any members of that party may recruit others, meaning that when they go to the Nexus they can select the party, which has the active Age they are playing in there to link to at any time

Along with StarLions' KI interface, here is my proposed mini KI primary interface

The colour scheme I have chosen, is just an example along with the features I present, these ideas may change or not happen at all when the cavern opens up again

Ps. I have a palm pilot or similar device that talks via radio to the KI so that it makes it easier to text chat everyone
