Yes:

But it was more than that. I only used Teledahn imported into Blender,so I'd know where to put the camera and avoid running into things. Once I had the camera animated and the script for it, I deleted everything else, and exported what I had as a single prp file. Then added that file to the .age file so it would load too when I linked to Teledahn.

That's the spirit.
This thread shows how a crazy idea can be realized, if everyone bring their minds together instead of saying "this will never work" or "Cyan doesn't want us to do that".

I think Cyan is less concerned about what we're doing over here, and more concerned about keeping their ship afloat in this mess that is an economy.

There is still an economy?

I just find it ironic that in a the last six months, we've been able to nearly fully integrate all of MOUL into POTS, and all of the Myst V ages as well, making it the most complete form of Uru that's ever existed. That for the first time, even though it's not sanctioned, the dream of DIRT is an actual possibility.

I think we're just waiting on fully functioning GUIs and particles now that can be done directly with the plugin.
Come to me my precious, PyPrp 2.0

Well I'm not even asking as much. I'm happy as a crab with all the hacking goodies we have right now, which GPNMilano was speaking about.
Especially with libPlasma, my to-do list is reaching infinite.

Absolute kick-butt work! Andy's Fly-By in Teledahn is impressive, too. It even has the camera rolls that I could never pull off in Flymode. The way you've approached the filming for the camera definitely feels like the "right" solution to me.

those), and they have some totally smooth camera moves in there; not the kind of result you can have with regular Fly Mode. I've no idea how they did that..

Please use
http://rel.to/prologue as that should point to the right place, even if it should move in the future. The smooth camera moves used in the Prologue videos and some of the music videos that I put together use a custom flymode that lets me control the granularity of the avatar's movement. But, as I said above, I think building the camera path in Blender is definitely the way to go.
PS: Andy, when are you going to register that copy of FRAPS? Do we need to start a fund for you?

While I appriciate the thought, I'd rather find an open source video capture program, that way everyone can use it.
Besides, accepting something like that would be a violation of my FCAL, and I could have it yanked by Cyan. So again, thanks for the offer, but let me worry about getting something registered.

Isn't that exactly what andy
just did?
Indeed! At first I had understood he had exported the whole Age, not just the camera..

Guess that answers my question then.
It means real time fly-bys for existing Ages can be easily redistributed.. Which is great.

I suddenly have a big urge to dwelve into some Blender camera animation tutorial and have fun with the Cyan Ages..

Oh, I had never heard about that, interesting. And sure enoug it shouldn't be to hard to put together.. 'should have thought of it, duh. Thanks for the pointer.
