RAWA is our new community manager
Re: RAWA is our new community manager
Sounds like he's going to be useful (ironic) when fan's beat him to announcements. Let's just say I am an old sceptic that remains to be convinced.

Re: RAWA is our new community manager
RAWA is a wondeful man and a great asset to the community. He will be a excellent community manager and will do all we need in that regard. Thanks for your patience Jamey with the negative posters here, we could do without them and do just fine. The internet and the virtual universe has many other worlds. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for panning Cyan who has treated us fairly and with great honour all the years i have been here.
Welcome RAWA and Shorah.

Amen to that!
Re: RAWA is our new community manager
Indeed! No Problem CrisGer
It's nice to see another optimistic person around here.

Welcome RAWA and Shorah.
Here, here!
We could certainly do without these negative posters what an astute observation!!
So get out of here, Hoikas, Chacal, ddb174, Diafero, J'kla, and anyone else who has actual experience trying to work with Cyan. All of you get out of here!!
But.......
Please do the courtesy of leaving all of the tools and knowledge you have amassed for us to use. We don't like YOU, but we will feed off of your hard work. Thanks ;D
BAD is as good as he gets

The word "vegetarian" has an Indian origin and can be translated as: "the one who is too dumb to hunt".

I think what this shows is, RAWA is welcome, but he will have to convince us by his actions that things have changed at Cyan.
I will try to be positive here and say, of all possble candidates, he is the best one for us. He's not a lawyer or a CEO, he has been central to Uru. While I might have preferred a developer, I understand that devs must be a rare commodity at Cyan these days, and you can't ask those guys to do volunteer work for our sake. Also, he is a community manager, not dedicated to Writers or hackers.

Re: RAWA is our new community manager
I think this should be elaberated a bit more.
Doing.. what? Seriously, anyone who reads that can tell how ambiguous that is, so before you start pointing fingers saying that he's saying we could do without your work with age building, pyprp, ect., lets take a minute and hear what exactly he means. I can't speak for Crisger, but I'm sure he's referring to the negativity unjustified assumptions following the initial announcement (a few of which I listed in my last response).
Also Chacal I agree with you there, his actions will have to speak for themselves.

BAD, I think you are taking this way out of proportion. I think what CrisGer meant to say was that we need to be more optimistic.
Do I, personally, want all these people you mentioned to leave? No, Not at all, I'm very grateful to everyone for making the tools that I, and many other people use. They are very helpful with age creation.
I believe I understand Chacal's viewpoint here, which I'm sure quite a few of us share. RAWA has been quiet before he became community manager, and it will be tough to break that mold for some people.

No, I think BAD pretty much nailed it.
