Huh - that requirement should not be in there. We agreed back on the
original thread that all entries will be accepted, no questions asked. I'll change the Wiki and remove that.
LaReh - Thank you for volunteering! We'd love to have you as a judge.
I asked the GoMe to send out a notice about this contest, so we should see some more folks join - hopefully. Also, I'm about to PM every current shell owner inviting them to participate in the contest. We only have a week to generate interest.

Well, I've signed up. All I need now is to get my shell files to actually work with

Katreeny (well, not QUITE all - I'm definitely a newbie in this side of things)

Will there be a centralized thread where judges will obtain the contestants' Ages (if there don't have them already from ULM, etc.) and also post findings? I'm happy to be a part of this but just need a little direction about where to find what I need. Thanks.

LaReh: We'll make sure to post a link to the RAD2 version of Ahra Pahts on the
RAD Sign-up Sheet when it becomes available. There will be two versions posted:
- Initial version: to evaluate current state of existing shells
- Final version: to evaluate progress of all shells

Thanks Robert, I forgot that we had already agreed to that there won't be any limits on how the contestants build and compile their Age/Shell.
I have been out of town for the last few days so i'm trying my best to get back up to speed.
Great idea Robert, don't know why I didn't think of it, pm'ing all those on the shell submission list inviting them to join in.
I have also just finished reading up the changes that you have done Robert to the sign up sheet, everything appears to be great as to what is expected and so forth, just done a couple of tweeks to it, thanks

If the GoMe did send something round about inviting people to join in, I havn't got it yet, maybe tomorrow?

@ LaReh - welcome to the judges team

that is Trylon, Lontahv, Corvus, LaReh me and now you. The first RAD we inspected the ages , which we got from a special thread, as Robert said, and then we used GoMaChat when we judged together. It worked pretty well I think. We have now another place to meet 'in avvie' - we can meet in There if evereyone has an account. And of course there is private forum mail. It was so fun and not to mention all things I learned about how to 'build' ages, and what to look for when inspecting. We also used a special sheet with a system of 'points' for different aspects of the age. Let's see if we can use the same way of judging this time, or if there's need for some changes.Anyway, prepare yourself for a fantastic 'journey', LaReh!

/bow Thanks to all for the warm welcome!

I am looking forward to this new adventure.
As a Maintainer the past few months I have reported on a few age inspections and have
learned quite a bit in that regard. I have the utmost respect for age builders
who have the talent to create such wonderful places for me to explore (and critique!

)
And......as a Cyan gamer since 1995, I have ridden the Riven maglev many, many times.....

The
sign-up sheet states, "You can use any
Released Version you wish of either the Alcugs or GoW-PyPrp."
I don't know if this makes me sound stupid, but does this include the bleeding-edge version that's updated nightly? Technically, that version has been
released.

If hex editing is allowed then the bleeding edge version should be ok too.
Personally I don't think this should even be restricted to PyPRP. If people happen to have an uber tool for exporting ages from say 3DS MAX then why wouldn't they be allowed to use it?
Long before the fork from Alcugs there was a division between people who wanted to use 3DS MAX and those who wanted to use Blender. The first demo movie of a user age came from the 3DS faction if I am not mistaken. I wonder if that group is still active?
