Why doesn't someone check the license agreement in the GoG version and see if it mentions Ubi. That will put this to rest. Regardless of the answer to that, the license agreement on the older versions of Uru *technically* prohibits what we do. Since Ubi is a party to that agreement, Cyan would need Ubi's approval to waive those terms of the agreement, regardless of whether Ubi still has an exclusive copyright licensing agreement. *At Best*, assuming the new license does not mention Ubi, Cyan could tell us it was OK to mess with the GoG version.

Why do the MOUL forums matter to the GoW?

Because the MOUL forums are the official forums where CYAN EMPLOYEES post. We want to work with Cyan, despite popular opinion. Unfortunately, everything they do makes this more and more difficult to the point that some of us wish that they would just give us Uru and leave the picture entirely.

When one works with Cyan, it's not through the forums. Some of you in fact do work with Cyan employees.
So I'll ask again: Why do the MOUL forums matter to the GoW?

Baseless claim. Where is your proof?

Why do the GoW forums matter to you?
Probably for the same reason the MOUL forums matter to us.

Indeed, why would the one place that almost everyone who wants to play the game must go to in order to actually play the game be important to the people who want to improve the game?
Remember we are a bunch of antisocial curmudgeons. I say we just ignore the MOUL forums completely and wait for Cyan to come to us. I'm sure disconnecting ourselves from the one place the majority of the game's players communicate is a great idea.

I'm just asking the question, not making a point. Your posts are reading more into the question than there was. Really. I'm interesting in why it matters to vocal members of the Guild here why the MOUL forums matter to them.
In various posts I've seen recently on the MOUL forums, some Guild members have written they only visit a thread "every two months" to check on activity, and from others that they they never go to the MOUL forums; wouldn't be caught dead there. And it's not always just because of the classic restrictions on your posts. In addition, Guild members (I guess I'm one of those according to the forum members list) are free to do as they please right here and everywhere else but. So I wouldn't have expected some of you to care as much as you profess right now.
No one has yet answered the question in an objective way: Why do the MOUL forums matter to the GoW?

If all we cared about was developing Ages, we would stick with PotS. If all we cared about was getting a few friends together and hack stuff, we'd stick with Alcugs and UU shards.
We want to develop and share our work, and contribute to the continuing storyline. That pretty much necessitates some sort of appearance on Cyan's forums, if we want anyone from the general populace to even know that we exist.
Contrary to the belief of some people, we actually have great ideas for Uru and new Ages, and we want to help contribute and see Uru be successful. It's unfortunate for us that legalities so often make us Cyan's "villains". I realise than most times Cyan is acting to protect themselves legally, and not acting to discourage us; but that doesn't make it any less frustrating when their policies have unintended consequences and are open to interpretation. Surely they must be as tired of dancing around this issue as we are.

I answered your question. You are choosing to ignore my answer because you didn't like the way it was delivered. Thank you once again for disregarding my opinions and writing. At least this time you can't delete my post and tell me in a PM I was a bad boy.
