I've done a clean install of Uru offline, downloaded the client zip, but double clicking the Uru.exe, it goes straight to "unable to download update file".

I'm going to try to create a new clean installation myself, seeing more and more of those reports recently.

After some tinkering, I got the install and client working and managed to log in, get my Relto Book and KI, everything is running smoothly now.

Hi.. i have some Problems - new/clean Installation from Uru:CC (german) - but at Login to the Shard every Times come the Error that i not Authentificate.. i have allready changed my PW and logged on here in the Board and Wiki some times.
Edit: Server Ping ok - so the Firewall is not the Problem

Weird, according to the logfile, your "password was not found", which means your account exists here, but the preparations necessary to make a log in to the Shard possible have not been done. However, since your account is new, this means something went wrong. I will ask Hoikas whether some forum upgrade might have removed the Shard integration.

That whould be very nice. Can you say when the Databases should be synced?

The sync is done for your user each time you log in with your username and password (i.e. auto-login does not count). I just sent Hoikas the data necessary to check whether the code is still where it belongs.
EDIT: Okay, he said he fixed something. Could you please test again?

Hello there! I'm afraid I'm having the same problem that Kemy said he was having, and I'm not quite sure what to tinker with. I'm using Uru.exe to launch, but it says "Unable to download update file." Do I need to give it permission or something?

The whole application needs to be in a folder it has write permission in (and the error message indicates it does not). My advise is to move the installation to somewhere within your user profile, i.e. C:\Users\UserName\. Alternatively, give yourself "full access" to the folder Uru is installed in.
