alright, I'll try a couple of different things, but if I do have to resort to a reinstall, what things should I save to assure that my avatar data is not lost?

You need to save the folder "sav" which is in your TPots folder. After reinstalling Uru you can copy it back into your new installation.

thanks a million Old Wolle!

Anything else you all would recommend backing up other than the sav folder?

But then it might just be something in the sav folder which is causing those problems. Don't you have a clean backup of your sav folder? And with "clean" I mean a plain vanilla unmodified Cyan game.

Unfortunately No, But I do have a backup of the my entire Uru folder before I installed Offline KI 2.6.3 which is when the problem started occuring.

...are we allowed to freely distribute unaltered sav files?

When making a backup, I recommend backing up these folders: Sav(contains your progress), MyJournals (contains the journal you type), KIimages (contains your screenshots), and MyMusic (any songs you may have put in for your Relto music player.)

I just did a complete reinstall, installed the offline KI, downloaded all the drizzle content,

and it is still minimizing... :(

As I said before:

I think it is one of these things:

Problems loading the GUI
Problems loading the GlobalClothing
Something wrong with one of the Python files that came with the offline KI
or something else...

However, I'm still going to try a few more things, I'll let you guys know if I fix it.

Did you try running it after the reinstall, but before the Drizzle/Offline-KI stuff?

Did you install Offline-KI via the UAM tab of Drizzle?

What do you mean "downloaded all the drizzle content"? Are you referring to the Fan Ages, or do you mean that you converted your Moul files using Drizzle?

1. No unfortunately
2. No, I downloaded the Oflline KI via the website: http://diafero.bplaced.net/
3. I converted all the MystV and MOUL ages via simplicity tab

However, I'm still testing a few things and I think I've just about fixed it...if I'm correct, then the offline KI may have had nothing to do with this problem...

Hopefully that's what it is. As a convenience, you can download the Offline-KI through the UAM tab as if it were a Fan Age. It checks the integrity before installing it that way too, and it's sure to put everything in the right folders.

Good luck!
