I would welcome anything other than white text on a black background. Makes it incredibly hard to read.

Alrighty, been tinkering building upon the initial idea I came up with before still very much a WIP mind you.

Interested in hearing thoughts or criticisms.

A few points, the header section that shows Bimevi currently I was thinking could be a rotation, that cycles through several fan Age images randomly.

I'm also aware sections of the background cut off, they're test elements to see if the concept works.

Also no white text on black (aside from the header links) but light grey on dark grey which would hopefully cause less explosion in the eye department.

Looks pretty good. It would be better in my opinion if the guild's name was capitalized. Looks a bit too bloggish with the name lowercase.

I think the font could be a bit bigger, but I am not sure. I would also like to see a little more detail on the emblem. Maybe a border of some kind around the main symbol?

I like the idea of a rotating age picture in the background.

The colors look great on your sample, but I fear we may still be treading to close to the white on black text issue. Of course the forum could be different than the main page in order to make reading as easy as possible.

White on a medium-dark gray is quite readable (at least to me), in fact that mockup has almost the exact same background gray as my text editor. Much, much nicer than white on black.

This must mean that I'm the only one seeing light gray on dark blue which is almost as bad as white on black.

I like it, I like it a lot. =)
