Shorah,
as the ULM project is slowly getting too big for me to effectively handle considering my limited time, I'm looking for some people to help me.
Programming languages used:
- Microsoft Visual C# (2008 Express Edition)
- PHP + MySQL
If you're interested, please reply here or PM me.
I posted the same ad on the maintainers website, since its a bit of a collaborative project.

I could do some stuff in php for you. MySql isn't too strange for me, I've used it a bit and is always willing to learn.
Can't say that I have a clue about C#.
If I do learn a C language at some point... It'll be C++ or C.

Hu.. I can do icons does that count?

Re: Ad: ULM looks for help in programming.
Poke me sometime...
I can do both C# and PHP, not sure which I'd prefer. C# tends to be easier on Windows than Linux, but whatever you need...

Thanks guys.
I also have some maintainer volunteers, which is cool.
I'll set up an svn for it sometime soon.
And Aloys, doing icons counts to
(And perhaps some book covers)

OK, the svn is set up, I'll just have to go and copy the current working version there. That'll be done today or tomorrow

So, about the "server"/web-interface--what is on the wish-list?(php/mysql)

Err, AHHH, I'm trying to run the ULM on my private server so I can mod it. What is the MySQL structure?
EDIT: Never mind, I found out.

Ok, a few things so far:
- Revisit server-client communications
right now it's a dynamically generated static list. We need some more serious interfaces.
All communication should be through HTTP POST/GET, to make sure it runs on any ordinary webserver. - Adding customizable (by the librarians) categories for ages
- Adding a state for books
- Storing linking panels on the server
I think that linking panels are part of the book description rather than the age
I have a system for storing files in a mysql database lying around that we can use. - Adding in maintainer commentary systems, and special permissions for the GoMa to comment on, approve and categorize books
- Allow for logins from the client to allow GoMa members (and others) to work from within the client
I think I'm gonna need a separate developement forum for this somewhere

I'm currently working on the "UruTools" part of the project, that will allow us to write linking panels, and possibly change book covers in relto (I know how to change them

If someone could work on revising the GUI, that'd be nice.
Marcello, you interested?

Re: Ad: ULM looks for help in programming.
I volunteered on the GoMa site and I am looking for some written material to catch up with the project (as I am a total newbie to ULM). Is there a wiki yet so I can document my findings for other starters and myself (I have a very short span memory :] )?
